    thats not really a good comparison. eventhough id rather listen to teflon don than slick rick, ill say no because slick rick is a legend.

    It's close. Hard to compare them musically because today slick rick's raps sound amateurish, but back then they were ahead of its time. ross is a good rapper, but hes not ahead of his time.

    lol, this thread just goes to show you that ? dont listen to music...

    lyrics wise, rick ross ? all over slick ricks abc rhymes. slick rick told some nice stories yea, but he wasnt using metaphors and entendres.

    slick rick's flow was ahead of its time tho...he used that lazy flow on the beat in a way that most ? talk.

    slick rick was an innovator....ross is a nice rapper who makes great albums, but he aint an innovator.

    like i said, slick rick is a legend. back in the day his story telling was great and he was ahead of his time. childrens story is untouchable, there is not disputing that. but this isnt 1988 anymore kid, ? arent bumping old school rap like that. dont act surprised, its life.
