Which is part of the problem. Too many cats churning out sub-par garbage on bootlegged FL Studio or Reason and these rappers eat that ? up. -

You're right, but only if you can score royalties in the deal when you sell it. If the artist doesn't give royalties then you get paid once and that's it.
