Nah they just showing love and paying homage to that scene. I'm sure this is Necropolis where T'Challa meets his ancestors including his father for council. -

The consensus seems to be that the movie is great, however, they all caveat that this is the most comedic movie in the MCU yet. It's to the point that they say the movie should be labelled a buddy comedy. That said they say the comedy in this movie works and is much different from other "funny" movies like GotG. The only negative is that once again the villain seems to be a weak point. They say Blanchet is great and the action sequences featuring Hela are great, but she seems to be underutilized and underdeveloped (i.e., the same as every other MCU villain not named Loki. -
Vulture was a great villian
-
Killmonger and Klaw will be great villains

Vulture was dope. Michael Keaton killed it. They set up shocker and scorpion for future films perfectly -
Everyone came out of The Dark World saying the best thing about it was the comedy. After the hype died down, we realized how much of a letdown it was.
This is looking to be the same thing. I don't go into a Thor film to laugh. I go into a Thor film to see an epic cinematic representation of Norse mythology within the MCU.
I'll judge it on it's own merits, but I'm not liking the sound of these reviews. -

looking back thor always had levity and wit in every movie he was in including avengers. -

The villain argument against MCU movies is kinda silly. In cases where the villains aren't that significant, they clearly aren't supposed to be. For example, people bashed Zemo for not being a big deal in Civil War, but that movie was largely about the rift between the heroes, so why would anyone expect a huge focus be put on the villain. Zemo played the role he was supposed to play.
