Jay my man hunnid bands, but I say, and will continue to say, Cam'ron had the best verse to the intro beat that i've heard.

That Cam ? was lyrical wizardry. That's the joint where he talking about "coming thru the block w Angela bassett" and "? in your lemonade" I vaguely remember overplaying that long ass freestyle. Wasn't it promotion for Come Home With Me?

Btw, this is the album that made me a Jay-z fan (mainly "this can't be life and "soon you'll understand". I was too young when Reasonable Doubt came out. Vol.1 wasn't that great to me and vol.2 and 3, had good songs, but overall were heavily flawed. But to that point he was just a "bling bling" rapper to me. This and blueprint showed me what I needed to see.

I seen and live it, I did some things I admit it
Wasn't proud of it, but I was a child ? it
Kept a pow tucked in a brown belt
Couldn't sit down, big gun kept stickin my pelvis
? it was either that or be livin wit Elvis
? is jealous, hell is hot, you heard X
Wanted to tell ? that I don't deserve this
Was afraid that he'd tell me I deserve less
My life was nervous, you haven't heard stress
Til you heard the cries of my mama, me givin her drama
Told her I ain't promised tomorrow, gotta live for the day
And before she could say Jay...

What's the name of this song...loved that beat

    Squeeze first

    Since we telling stories....

I bought this album the week it came out. This was around the time where not everybody had CD burners. I remember making mad copies of the album at my homies house. I wanna say the burner was a 2x. Smh.

    Good times.

I didn't buy the album when it came out, but I Just Wanna Love U (Give It To Me) was a monster in Boston.

My cousin had it and i liked it. He wouldnt lend it to me, so I bought my own copy. He also would only play the songs he liked in his car. ? was obsessed w "change da game" and "give it to me", which was my least favorite joint on the album. I was like ? that, gonna get my own ? and bump the rest of these songs. Till this day I hate that "give it 2 me" song.

Got a strange way of seeing life like
I'm Stevie Wonder with beads under the doo-rag
Intuition is there even when my vision's impaired, yeah
Knowing I can go, just switching a spare
On the highway of life, ? it's sharp in my sight
Oh! Keen senses ever since I was a teen on the benches
Every time somebody like Ennis was mentioned
I would turn green, me, being in the trenches
Him, living adventureous, not worrying about expenditures
