I think this may mainly be because 9th is underrated and because of that not many are familiar with his catalog as a whole. He has gotten progressively better, Pete is on the downstream as of late.
Yeah, 9th got a huge back catalogue. His Jamla stuff alone is crazy. But Pete also got decades of slept on ? . There's ? from INI and Roc Marciano not even I heard yet. Both slept on in different aspects, I'm boiling this down to skill level. I will say this tho... Pete's drums have taken a down turn, but he can still find some fire sample and his chop game is still dangerous.
As per your response to my other post... yeah, that was dope. But as for Pete not wanting to go on Rhythm Roulette... did I mention he pioneered this ? ?

That also counts as my rebuttal beat for the last 9th one. -
9th WonderLol I remember that video. That was a one off, I feel like he scared to do live production like that now.
9th track here go harder than that

No one followed the rules. I'll post a 9th beat since he's been under-represented.

In Pete's defense, I don't think he, nor any of the other OGs for that matter, have too many live beat making videos out there. Only a few OGs did Rhythm Roulette. We're still waiting on PR, Preem, Alc, Madlib and them to do theirs. And none of those guys have more beat making vids than 9th. I'm looking up his Periscope vids now, sheesh.
For the sake of the rules...

One thing about Pete's chops, they're so clean it just sounds like he looped a song. I'm assuming he sampled Aretha Franklin here, and I have all her ? , but for the life of me I don't know what he used. -

I think i had a Chip & Dale video game in like 89 on Nintendo that sampled the horns too. Which made my love for TROY even more easy. -

Pete RockYou girls can not follow simple direction, ? ! The Op clearly stated that he wants everyone to post one song per post. Why are people posting three songs?
Anyway, I'm going to play along!

9th WonderThat is a sick selection though Queenbee. I forgot all about that beat. The way those drums sound and those glowing samples, he must’ve used the 1200 to make that.
I’m not exactly sure at the moment what 9th got that can really play after that. -

At this point ? should post Minstrel Show songs til they run out. That whole album is heavenly. The intro alone might shut down the thread. -

This would've been my ace, but the IC is dying soon and this has to be posted ASAP.

Man that INI record is on some other ish, I've had it almost 20 years when my mans bootlegged it for me. Was a real hard record to cop. I first heard "Fakin Jax" and lost my mind, my homie had it on 12'' -
