Your suit and tie disguise you
But I see right through the lies, I despise you
Thought I wanted to rise to be like them, but nevermind
The soul will never be content if the heart is blind
Dollar signs drive them, their mission statement, a facade
Greed is their religion, money is their ?
Me? My moral code is the basis for my existence
Enlisted in the righteous army to expose hidden faces
Remove masks and suits, put forth facts, stage coups
Not just for scoops, but to properly guide our youth
They paint their collars white and put a noose around their necks
Put a black coat over top and just assume they deserve respect
They haven't been dissected yet, haven't spilled out their guts
But blood still stains their hands from all the lives that they've touched
From all the souls who they've made resort to final measures
From all the individuals who now believe that only pain can bring pleasure
Rain is their only weather, forecasts show no better
Theft of possessions lasts a moment, this ? lasts forever
Break a spirit and watch him bleed
Takes a knee now watch him plead
There's nothing there to steal, it's on his desperation that they feed
Who are these people and what are their reasons?
They serve no purpose, we just call them demons
A product of all our evils, a manifestation of our nightmares
But they don't hide in our dream world, they all live right here
A corporation... a separate legal entity
Should be damned eternally for their unspoken indemnity.

Dam legend!
This was hot all the way around, the rhyme scheme was straight on point! I loved it.. i enjoyed reading every bit of it too, this reminds me of a piece i had written awhile back.. I'll share with ya'll sometimes..
My favorite part:
From all the souls who they've made resort to final measures
From all the individuals who now believe that only pain can bring pleasure
Rain is their only weather, forecasts show no better
Theft of possessions lasts a moment, this ? lasts forever
Overall good ? , keep delivering light that one day we will all see it in our plight...
And thanks for sharing with us fellow poet!
Peace! -

I didn't really like part one so I didn't post it. It got a bit too random for my liking but I'll finish it and post it up when I got some time. -

Here's part one to this piece. They are separate pieces but same subject matter...
Have you ever believed one could make a difference?
One could make decisions on what's real and what isn't
I used to believe we controlled our own, made our choices
Made ourselves heard by the masses as we raised our voices
Unearthed pearls from oysters, revealed their worth
Embracing the good in life as we shielded from the worst
Eyes turned to watch us as we broke the norm, evoked the storm
Labeled an outcast because we failed to conform
Misfits, a cancer, we don't fit in because we refuse to sin
Refuse to give in, reluctant to compromise
No, I'd rather save a soul and improve our lives
But their eyes are solely focused on justifying their lies
The world is a dark alley, those in charge are abusive
The innocent are unprepared, fools... are the excuses
We carry on with our lives like we're mutual exclusive
These misconceptions cause equality to be elusive
How are we striving for greatness when we've failed at respect?
How can we reach a level when we've missed the first step?
Those claiming to be on top cheated, took an escalator
Can't breathe from the pressure now, desperate for a respirator
And the rest, they cater, feed the fat cats with cash advances
The public pays corporate execs, yet receive no answers
No sense of accountability, just counting their millions
As honest individuals look up through the glass ceilings.
