honestly who else thnks that tha killer has one of the freshest sig pics in a while.. that ? is funny.. i cant remember the last time i saw a power ranger n ? , let alone somebody rocking one.. thats how you know the oldschool will never die entirely..

What is a VST? I wanna try to make some beats and I'm trying to learn. Are VST's for Fruity Loops only?

they work with cubase n ? too.. i know there are a few that base there ? entirely on vsts.. the only one ive seen that gives you a head ache with them is reason but the refills kick ass on vsts half the time anyways so it more than makes up for it.. and yeah man i remember actually having one of those ? when i was like 9-10 or some ? .. its always going to be oldschool to me at that point.. and to young ice great contribution that ? is fresh..

Refills NEVER kick VST's ass.
VST's give you more options and far more flexibility to create sounds yourself. There are more synthesis methods out there than Reason can cover, so a well rounded VST collection will always be superior in competent hands. -
i see your point on that, i just love the realness of their instruments..i'll admit right away you cant really do ? to customize sound with a refill, they dont have ? for knobs lol.. as far as custom noises go though i would have to agree go with vsts, you can make most synths work a lot better than a list of presets if you work with it..

VST is a plugin fx like distortion. VSTi is a plugin instrument like a piano. Most Daws can use them.
