As fat as he was he his ass cheeks probably use to suffocate his ? -
Aint no Best. Everyone was doing something different. So, for the most part comparing the top MC's from that era is like comparing Apples to oranges.

No Melle Mel, Moe D, or Spoongie?
-
Kool G Rap was, and is, the best rapper ever.

I'ma go with the B-I-G D-A-double-D-Y K-A-N-E.
And MrJR, as stupid as your Big Pun jokes are, they never cease to make me laugh - they always make my day! -

As much as I like Masta Ace, all he had to his name in the 80s is a few appearances on Marley Marl's album and his debut solo came out in 90, so he doesn't really count IMO. Kool Moe Dee should have really made the poll though. -

Quite easily I might add. Moe Dee has the most monumental Hip Hop battle to date on record. How, Melle Mel and Spoonie didn't make the list is truely mind boggling. -

He's my man and my hero but let's be honest, his career peaked in the 90-95 period.
