about a month ago, I started realizing I know way too many people(two, which is more than enough) who have never seen the movie The Sandlot. And here I am thinking that movie was/is(for the newer generation) a must see cult classic as essential as Scarface
so what movie that was praised really well or critically acclaimed, new or old, haven't you seen? I'm curious as to people's opinions regarding which of our never seen films is more sacrilegious, so feel free to bash
for someone who like's movies, I have way too many. So off the top of my head it would be
The Matrix: every time somebody has had this movie on, either A. it was at some birthday party, B. I was ? or C. ended up leaving early and only seeing some 30 minutes of it. And it was the same 30 minutes of it on several different occasions
Napoleon Dynamite: I swear it seems like everybody I come across but me has seen this stupid movie. I really don't care if I ever do
I haven't seen Avatar either. Its on cable now, so I might catch it pretty soon. Or maybe not, I don't know why, but this movie just hasn't interested me at all, even though I heard it was a great movie
Lion King: I was a kid when all those movies like Aladdin, Beauty and The Beast, etc etc came out. So when the Lion King came out soon after, I was too old for cartoons or something. I don't know, because years later people would make references like 'I can't wait to be king' and were shocked when they found out I'd never seen it
one of the most I'm embarrassed about is Donnie Brasco. Mostly because I own it and still haven't gotten around to see it. Even though I want to smh
Schindler's List: Every one I know has seen this movie and say its so moving and so on. I have not seen it, but I pretend I have. Truth is I don't think I will ever sit down and watch it. Its too what's the word, depressing/sad/long/boring, whatever. So I'll probably continue to pretend whenever it comes up lol

the problem with watching a movie that everybody has seen but you is that everyone over describes it to the point that you lose motivation to see it because you feel like you have
like that Bruce Willis movie where the kid see's the dead people. Bunch of people came into the store I was bagging groceries at and they start chatting it up while waiting in line. The movie was out at theaters at the time and they got on to the subject only to have one of the girls reveal the whole plot. I can't believe she just came out and said it. She just gave away the ending completely man. And I was young when this movie came out so I wasn't aware that there was a twist. And this was before the whole internet thing where now everyone knows what to expect from a movie before its even released. I would not have seen it coming had she not ruined it for me smh
/whining
about a month ago I had a hard time convincing a friend of mine to watch Shawshank Redemption to the point where I personally went out and bought the Bluray and loaned it to him. Even then it took him a couple of weeks to watch it
to make matters worse, he said it was 'ok' smh -
Any of LOTR movies
Any of Harry Potter except one
Godfather 2&3
Avatar
Any of the Star Wars except the Last one of the prequels
Slumdog Millionaire
Any of the Terminators except the last one -
I’ve never seen The ? Father or Braveheart.
Schindler’s List is a good movie, but I honestly would never have watched it, if my teacher didn’t play it in high school. Napoleon Dynamite is one of the dumbest things ever, but I still laughed! The Lion King is pretty much amazing, and I’m probably the only person who didn’t like The Matrix.
Pirates of the Caribbean, Die Hard, Lethal Weapon, Black Hawk Down, Saving Private Ryan, Brokeback Mountain, Green Mile, and of course Terminator are all good movies! Also, I knew LotR would be mentioned a few times in here. Some of my favorite fight scenes are in this trilogy…try watching it one day, you’ll be surprised. -
