Co-sign..Honestly, Vol. 2 should be in the conversation when speaking on Jay's classics.

I don't wanna throw the word classic around, but Vol. 1 & 2 are overlooked -
RD by far. RD is Jay in his rawest, most fundamental and most lyrical form. The GOAT Rookie album in rap history. Cant no Volumes ? with RD.
-
I play TBA alot, but I agree Vol 2 is a great album......gets overlooked alot.

Vol.1??? Naw..Vol.1 was dope but classic???? not in my book..Vol.1 was what Hov accomplished on Vol.2, vol.1 was an experimental album...on RD Jiggaman was hella raw on vol.1 he tryed 2 tone that rawness down n go a different direction...
w/o vol.1, vol.2 wouldn't b as good as it was.. -

Yeah that's true. Cause Vol. 2 was the album that would either make or break Jay. -

vol.2 was just as lyrical n better musicallyptowndonte wrote: »Yeah that's true. Cause Vol. 2 was the album that would either make or break Jay.
tru, plus hov learned how to be underground n pop @ the same time..on vol. 1, some tracks were either too underground R too pop...while some where just right, but then he figured out the science afterwards, i think vol.1 was the album that "made him r broke him" -
not my favorite, but if i was 2 listen to a jay album, RIGHT NOW it would b American Gangster, just based on how i'm tryna hear hov in da o'11.
it'd be AG, BA then BP1/KC right now. But obviously Bp1 is the best of what i just named and i can listen 2 RD anytime.
streets is watching>>>>>>vol.2 -
Personally my favorite is Reasonable Doubt....then Blueprint 1
-
The Blueprint. I just like the production and feel it's his most personal.
-
The Blueprint is my favourite of his
-
I'd say its a tie Reasonable Doubt and The Black Album. American Gangster was dope tho!
-
RD . .ha yesss!
-
American Gangster
-
No brain.....Reasonable Doubt hands down.
-
Blueprint/Black Album was jay in his prime
-

I agree....I've always considered it one and for the longest it was my favorite. I voted TBA it just captures a specific time for me and is dope. I do recognize the difference between his best and my favorite though. RD, BP1, Vol. 2, TBA, Vol. 1 in that order IMO. -

Damn? I'm the only one who voted for American Gangster?
American Gangster >>>>> Blue Print 2 >>>>> Black Album -
Well in the past week i've been riding to Vol 2, Blueprint, and American Gangster..
Its hard to choice just one, but i'ma say ...
Roc-La-Familia is my favorite Jay Album. But i'ma vote AG cause its underrated as ? . -
No vote for BP2...I guess Kevin Durant is not on the IC lol
-
Too many features on Vol.2 for me ..
But this was straight fire -
(It felt like they was going at each other, IMO)
