Another artist I just recently discovered that I'm really diggin...UK artist VV Brown. I like how she gets down. I like her mixture of 50s pop w/ Rock, Soul, R&B, Electronic etc. She's different and not afraid to do her. Lot of energy. She got a show tonight here in DC so I'ma go check her out. Judging by the youtube videos I've seen of her live performances I'm expectin a pretty good show.

A little boring to me. Does she anything that's recorded? That first vid looks like it but its broken.

Yeah I made a thread about her on the old forum. I like her, she reminds me of Janelle Monae more than anything. I'm guessing she's in the US now promoting the album? She got completely ignored in the UK which was pretty sickening to be honest considering the amount of commercial ? gets pushed on you in the daytime by radio stations. I'm hoping she finds far more success in the US and you lot embrace her far better them we did, she's class

Fixed the first vid. Didn't realize the embedding was disabled on the youtube version.
@dontdiedontkillanyone...she is sort of reminiscent of Janelle in a way. Yeah she just released here in the US a couple weeks ago. "Shark In the Water" got a nice little buzz goin for it so I'm with you, hope she gets some love stateside. I wasn't aware she didn't get any real play over in the UK. -
Yesterday's show met my every expectation. She further solidified me as a fan. It was all the way turnt up up in there last night! Hope she gets all the accolades she deserves. Couple other tracks that I really love:

I like that one.
I'm not really a big fan of the 50's/60's sound in general but it does sound good. -
Just spotted this on Youtube, didn't realise she was still promoting this in the US. So do any of you lot in the US know how she's doing over on your side of the pond so far? Has she gained any popularity or momentum or anything? I noticed the new version of her Shark In The Water video has got the Degrassi cast in it so I'm guessing she's doing alright at the moment
