My car booklet says put 91 octane gas

but with the pumps in my area being 87,89, or 93, I had been putting 93, but with gas prices they way they are im going to have to drop to 89, will this mess up my car

Yes it will. Clogged injectors for sure. They say 91 for a reason. And FWIW, 91 isn't that common anymore.
Do NOT put in less than recommended. -

oh well ive already done it like 5 times in the 2 years ive owned the car, but I wont do it again -
My car book says the same thing.... But I dont really even remember seeing 91. I just buy 89. That 93 octane be to high. I only buy that when I have some extra cash to burn. The car does ride a lil better with 93. I notice it a lil in the acceleration............ Then again it could all be in my mind... lol
