Best Hip Hop album of 2008

There were a decent amount of album that year. Wayne ? the Grammys with sub-par ass Tha Carter III. So who really had the best album???
Was it Nasir Jones with the groundbreaking revolutionary Untitled??
Was it Tribe front-man Q-Tip's self-produced masterpiece The Renaissance
What about Young Jeezy and his switch of focus to current political issues with The Recession??
And then there was the self-proclaimed King of the South's return to the top with 4 Top 5 Billboard singles with his Paper Trail album.
This was the year Rick Ro$$ came into the form we know him as today with Trilla.
Then there more disappointing albums that didn't live up to the expectations of fans such as Common's experimental Neptunes produced Universal Mind Control as well as Game's unfocused LAX.
There were albums that were different sounds from what we are used to from the artists like Snoop Dogg's DJ Quik and Teddy Riley produced Ego Trippin and Ludacris' film concept attempt at Top 10 status with Theater of the Mind.
Then there were albums that kinda just flew under the radar like Bun B's sequel to his debut 2 Trill, Webbie's Savage Life 2, Prodigy's H.N.I.C. 2, The Roots - Rising Down, Jim Jones - Harlem's American Gangster, Devin the Dude - Landing Gear, G-Unit TOS, etc......
So in your humble opinion which album was the best this year, based on quality.

Untitled is a "love it" or "hate it" album ..
I kinda understand the negetive reviews it gets .. -

I don't understand cats who can't handle meaningful rhymes with their beats. You gotta be an illiterate fool to party these days. yeah shawty! and all that.
I actually love the album .
I just think the Recession was a better buy, that year tho.. -
I can understand cats liking other albums better. My issue is statements like, "it put me to sleep". You didn't say that so its all good.

But I'm always back and forth between Untitled and The Renaissance... but I did love The Recession as well.
This year was probably one of the better years in the latter half of the 2000's though. And that's not saying much. -
for me it's q tip's renaissance and nas untitled running neck and neck

That isn't a hip hop album but the album is great -

Untitled and Paper Trail are the only albums from '08 that I still listen too. I loved The Recession when it first came out, but now it just doesn't feel the same.
