Thing is he didn't have to, he's just a ballhog. He played in the 90's which just might be the weakest era for guards. He got dpoy because he didn't have to guard anybody. Its easy to shut down danny ainge, dan majerle, vinny del ? , hornacek, reggie miller, etc.
Jordan played in the weakest era wit no comp. Look at the 1st ballot HOFers in his era besides him. Scottie Pippen, Dominique Wilkins, and clyde drexler. 3 other ? on the wing are 1st ballot and none of em played his position and 1 of em was on his team. ? didn't guard ANYBODY that was good. The 2nd best SG in the 90's was Mitch Richmond.
I just realized yesterday that kobe is better. After lebron wins 2 playoff series they got scottie ready to crown this ? the greatest all time and he has no rings. How you gone do that in this era when Kobe snatched up 5 rings? Its all ESPN/Nike hype.
The players from the 1990's played against wacker competition. Thoughts?

No sign back then was more physical they were actually allowed to hand check scoring is easier now

On top of that, the handchecking was stopped the year before Jordan returned to the NBA. So explain to me how it was harder for him. -
2000's is better at everything except C. But to say Kobe is better just because he faced better competetion is stupid. CP3 is facing more comp at the PG then magic every did
-
touch fouls were not called back then....whats easily a flagrant and suspension now...ddint even warrant a technical back then

I think CP3 is better then magic because he's more skilled and has no flaws in his game, not because he has better competition at the One. -

and players dont live at the freethrow line today?? most of jordans highest scoring games were during the handchecking years... -

Defense is way better today, but there were zone defenses in the 90's. It's documented

In that case Wilt is the GOAT by ur standards. I guess you dont know that zone defenses are vulnerable to 3 point shooting -

Nowadays everybody that can run fast and jump high has hoop dreams. Competition level is so high now that the NBA created a minor league system and implemented a rule where u cant come in directly from HS.
Wilt faced Kareem and bill Russell among other HoF centers. -

I wonder in 20 yrs yall are gonna say the same thing when some 2guard is dominating and say he's better than Kobe, Lebron, Wade, etc.

CP3 is basically the perfect PG, no flaws in his game
(waits for magic has 5 rings tho!!!!!!!!)
Magic shot 52% for his career cp is at 46% even if cp plays another 7 years he will never have more reb magic has over 6,500,almost 140 triple doubles over 11 ast per game not for a couple of season for his career.. Lets continue waits for magic has 5 rings you dont have to wait here you go...5× NBA Champion (1980, 1982, 1985, 1987–1988)
3× NBA Most Valuable Player (1987, 1989–1990)
12× NBA All-Star (1980, 1982–1992)
3× NBA Finals MVP (1980, 1982, 1987)
9× All-NBA First Team (1983–1991)
All-NBA Second Team (1982)
NBA All-Rookie First Team (1980)
2× NBA All-Star Game MVP (1990, 1992)
Also not only did he get 5 rings but Dammit he went to finals 9 times bro..you can't be serious -
Lol at using fg% to indicate shooting ability, by that logic Stockton was a better shooter then CP3. The rest is just accolades and rings collected playing with stacked lakers rosters.....hiphopest72 wrote: »Cmon your showing your age young fella

That's your reply son and to think i thought i was in for a good debate. To help you out take out the 5 rings argument. Stat's for stats cp will most likely not see Magic in any thing other than steals congrats on that. Is he even sniffing the first team once let alone 9 times in a league with Kobe,Bron,Wade ,Durant and so one will he see a mvp trophy let alone 3 I don't think so,look take nothing from cp he is a great player and will go down as one the greatest and i hope he brings his talents to LA next season but you can't put him in there with magic without someone excusing you for a crackhead..Your titled to your opinion but your wrong on this one youngin -

Youre a ? liar
2004-05
• New rules were introduced to curtail hand-checking, clarify blocking fouls and call defensive three seconds to open up the game.
