I don't listen to it a thousand times a day but they're great songs that I do listen to often. I don't only listen to hip hop, I listen to everything... -

The only person who got more out of so few words was BIG.

AWOLNATION, so far I like what I hear from them, that "? Your Heroes" joint is cool...

The video itself is kinda 'out there' for me, but I enjoy the rest of the song. -

i remember vividly when biggie and pac died as if it happened last week.
but, guru's death hit me much harder than theirs
i personally feel that he his catalog measures up with the best in hip hop. Plus, he made classics WITHOUT premier...so save that primo made him nonsense...
RIP
one of my fav songs EVER ^^^^^^^^^^

lol
you are one of the most well rounded individuals ive ever encountered
if i ever make it to canada id like to treat you to a drink or something lol
funny thing is, he mixes a lot of genuine wisdom and comedy into songs. Regular heads wouldn't expect that from a '? rapper'

Yes. I object.
Jay Electronica is the greatest rapper/producer.
E-Double is Honorable Mention but my top 5 in no particular order would be
Large Professor
Jay Electronica
Q-Tip
RZA
Wyclef
Kanye would be up there but he don't write his own shilnilz. -

Yeah, I feel you, Guru was my man.
He made tight music on his own, but them joints with Premier were special. He never had the chemistry he had when he was with Premier. Guru always had some real slick lines and vocab that would have me dying.
I remember when he said "I'm not the tallest, but that ass I'll polish." LOL
And who could forget" lemonade was popular drink and it still is"
I might start a Guru Lyrics appreciation thread if one hasn't been already. -

Yeah Ali Shaheed had the rep but it was really Q-tip that had the Ear that is why he was producing for all the High Level MC's and Ali Shaheed wasn't.
Tips work includes
Drink away the Pain, Give up the Goods(Step), Tempature Rising - MobbDeep
One Love - Nas
E -Dub didn't really work on Das Efx they had they on production team called Solid Scheme. Them dudes should have got more run.
His produciton was all that, but sometimes his rhymes sounded mad dated. He was a nice MC, though.
But uh, what blasphemic problem you have with Jay E? -

got to give it to you there....Q tip did get SOLE credit for those joints you mentioned....and they are all classics...you got me there
as far as the das efx...i dont know..........ill look into that. but w.o das efx u still have redman and keith murray lol
as far as the rhymes....id say the best rhymer out of who we put on the table was Large Pro. Qtip wasnt on no super lyrical ? . Rza was....rza lol all over the place.
As far as rapper producers are concerned i put ORGANIZED KONFUSION up with the best because its undeniable that they rapped better than everyone lol. Plus, i read album credits....they are credited for their own album productions...so unless u come under the toenail like u did w/ das efx, i credit their production to them lol -
and jay elect....i dont know about him...ive heard about him, but never sat down and listened. And im not into mixtapes and all that...
dont know about him..........in a discussion that involves a tribe, epmd, xtra p, etc....he is dismissible lol...... -

Brother, if you like Guru, you will love Jay Electronica. Trust me.... He is a rappers rapper. If I know you like I think you do, you will enjoy his steez.....
