Often, Essence posters have created mixes for other Essence heads to enjoy. Mostly because the underground is slept on and because mixes give posters the opportunity to be exposed to new artists. Sometimes this means posters have selected a particular theme dedicated to a particular country, region, type of music or mixes dedicated to the DJ. Furthermore, I have created a series entitled "Artist of the Month", which will allow posters to discover a new Artist each month. The links to the Artist of the Month series can be found at the bottom of this post.

haha no problem, at least we're good for future mixes :tu -
Nice, would be great to have links for all mixes on the first page so they are easier to find. You should update the first post when new mixes are posted in the other thread.

Yeah, that's what's going to happen, when someone posts a mix in the forum, it'll be stickied for a week - going in rotation as usual, once it's unstickied, the thread will stay open but the link will go in here and the next mix will be stickied and so on... -
FINALLY kenna is back in action!! congrats man and im glad we got some here who gives a ? about the essence to keep it going strong :tu

LOL. Enjoy!!! I always envied the thought of someone finding all of these at once, there's so many good playlists… still gutted because I lost a bunch of the playlists post 2004 that I used to have on my old laptop that I had to delete from….
Post in this thread about any of them that you check out :tu -
Props on Japanese boy now on to the next one so far downloaded 3

Japanese Joy lol otherwise, that sounds a bit suspect lol.
Props :tu You enjoy that mix? What's some of your favourites? -
Lol excuse my spelling if that was the actual title and with that artwork you made...... You would have killed me with laughter.
Children of earth,Haku,Take u somewhere,Sol, Hold on, Get em up, Dear Japan were some of my favorites love that feel to the production on most of those tracks it was something different to what we hear over here.
btw what do you suggest i peep next out of all those playlists -

LOL I'll give you that one @ bolded!
Yeah definitely, it's the music that I work to, that I also play in my class, so it's really cool… I listen to more Japanese hip hop than anything else, but largely listen to that playlist alone (I've played it going on 60 times now (in full)).
Since We Last Spoke, that was the first playlist that we did in the new, new Essence. So it'd be a good place to start and one that I spent quite a while on…
I'd also check out The Essence Playlist of the Year 2004. I'm gutted that I've lost the other playlists of the years. I know Ninja's still got his copies, but he's really busy nowadays and doesn't stop by as much.
But seriously, all is dependent on your tastes, everyone who has contributed has generally taken their time with them and they're all very listenable :tu
