I think all of those albums are better. In fact, I don't consider BP a classic nor do i consider it the best album that year. Black Trash: The Autobiography of Kirk Jones >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

The blueprint ? on GRODT. Lyrically it's in another league compared to GRODT plus the production is better

    Takeover>>>GRODT

I had to hustle, my back to the wall, ashy knuckles
Pockets filled with a lot of lint, not a cent
Gotta vent, lot of innocent of lives lost on the project bench
Whatchu hollerin? Gotta pay rent, bring dollars in
By the bodega, iron under my coat, feelin braver
Doo-rag wrappin my waves up, pockets full of hope
Do not step to me - I'm awkward, I box leftier often
My pops left me an orphan, my momma wasn't home
Could not stress to me I wasn't grown; 'specially on nights
I brought somethin home to quiet the stomach rumblings
My demeanor - thirty years my senior
My childhood didn't mean much, only raisin green up
Raisin my fingers to critics; raisin my head to the sky
    Big I did it - multi before I die (? )
No lie, just know I chose my own fate
I drove by the fork in the road and went straight
    >>>Any 50 verse on GRODT(Which is a classic but not better then The Blueprint)

    Takeover>>>GRODT

    Production is on par,

    lyrically both are equal,

Only thing is GRODT is a far more diverse in content and doesnt have as many weak songs as BP

In The Club is one of the biggest hit records in the last 10 years, that alone puts alot of songs on BP to shame

21 Questions, Many Men, P.I.MP, High All The Time, to name but a few.....Fif could have put 99% of the songs on the album out as singles and had smash hit records

Takeover is a trash diss record, overrated, lyrically wack, no wonder he lost to Nas

And I'm not even saying it's Definitely a top 5 record. I think quite a few(5-7) are better then it, but Hell no it ain't GRODT. Frankly, the Documentary is better if I'm being honest

Lol @ BP1/ and GRODT trying being equal lyrically.... No just no lolz

    Stop ur stanin

Hit'em supposedly started coastal war and had everyone in NY upset, had biggy thinking his kid werent his

Takeover did no damage apart for make Nas give Jay an L and have him crying on radio lmao

    Rip The Jacker>Takeover
    Ether> Takeover
    Hit'em Up> Takeover
    No Vaseline > Takeover
    Real Compton G's> Takeover
    The Bridge is Over> Takeover
? with Dre Day > Takeover
    Checkmate> Takeover
    The ? In You> Takeover
    Drop a Gem On'em> Takeover

and the list can go on.....Takeover lyrically has jackshit to offer, the first verse he talks about himself, then he has some wack lines about mob deep and a coupla lines directed at nas ..overall average overrated diss record that got jayz ass humbled...

Since t/s is talking about quality, my top 5 would be: BP, LR, CD, Be and Stillmatic.

The Lost Tapes is the GOAT compilation album though.

Hit em up was basically 2pac cursing over a Wack beat with no quotables. His Wackass homies ruined the song even further. I don't care what "imapct" it had because the beef was all an act between both sides IMO

    Takeover is WAAAAAAAAAAAAY better lyrically
    MUCH better beat
    Actually has quotables

    Takeover>>>>>>>>>>>Hit Em Up
Tupac would have been lyrically assassinated(bad choice of words) by Nas just like Jay
Your just an Angry Tupac Stan that has some weird obsession with Jay(which I've noticed with most Pac Stans) and criticizes his every move for no reason. Give it up, at least Tomp is entertaining.

This will be the last time I address this, now back to the thread, who you think did a better job on production Blaze or Yeezy?

    i stopped reading after that

if the beat is so wack why has it been used about 10 different times by other artists to diss other rappers?

lol@ no quotables, yet i bet u can rap the opening line without even thinking

    Just Blaze's 4 tracks:
    Girls, Girls, Girls
    U Don't Know
    Song Cry
    Breathe Easy (Lyrical Exercise)

    Kanye's 5 tracks:
    Takeover
    Izzo (H.O.V.A.)
Heart Of The City (Ain't No Love)
    Never Change
    Girls, Girls, Girls (Remix)

I think that they're neck and neck, but i'll give the slight edge to Kanye West.

Rappers are mostly dickriders so I don't care if they used the beat.
"? u fat ? ," "I ? your wife" calling a fat guy fat and cursing... REALLY impressive

That's just Me, Hit Em Up is my least favorite rap song of all time so I no longer care to discuss it, it's not in the same league as Takeover

Oh and lighting a fire under the GOAT's Ass and him getting back to making dope music>>>>>>>>causing the darkest moment in hip hop history and getting 2 Hip hop legends killed.

    lmao@ sonically

do u know what sonically means?

BP is one of the worst mixed albums, Yung Guru is a laughing stock when it comes to an engineer...i never understood why Hov lets Guru ? up his mixes

    Sonically = GRODT, The Documentary>>>>

When Dre is overlooking the mix, the product comes out sounding amazing...he gets the best engineers on the market and goes looking for the perfect mix

Dre's sonics are amazing when even Kanye has to sample his drums...

only other producer who's mixes come out amazing is Timbo

both of them are in a different league
