Someone who's never been in the WWE before was hyped up, coming in as a fresh new face for the WWE.

idk, but i remember the anticipation when goldberg came to wwe. they kept showing all these commercials tellin us that he was coming. he came the raw after wrestlemania
-
I think Jericho had it PERFECT with the Millennium count down, that anticipation was crazy.
Then to debut him with Rock out there talkin' smack, that was good. -
Jericho hands down
-
Jericho had the better debut, at the time you really couldn't get internet spoilers (well at least i couldn't) and waiting for the countdown to reach zero that ? was just awesome.
-
jericho had a great build up which was immediately ? on by the rock
people were crazy hyped to see goldberg come in and kick some ass after the invasion, but the first thing they did with him was comedy skits with golddust
then he stunk up the ring, of course -

I had no idea that it would be Chris Jericho.
Then again, I had no idea who Chris Jericho was. -
you can say jericho, but was there really any build up or anticipation for his debut, or did he just show up one day on raw
-

The "Y2J Millennium" clock had been going on for awhile.
"What's my name, ? ?!".....shoulda never edited that part out. It was the Attitude Era. -

Nice point!, Fans knew this dude was coming, waiting and ready. Just depended on what level of wrestling fan you where at the time. -

He had the Millennium clock count down
Once this aired, and aired, and aired, and aired and FINALLY when the Rock was in the ring running off at the mouth the countdown was gonna hit zero, that built up a great anticipation. RAW IS JERICHO was coined then too, genius catch phrase.
Speaking of the Rock, did he have some special thing with the new guys in a sense he put them over in some way? A couple debuts and a couple first time big wins were with the Rock. -
Rey Mysterio was pretty anticipated, first night there he had a pretty big pop and signs everywhere. They showed a montage to promote him coming to the WWE.
-
DDP as the stalker was WOAT.
Dude was the People's Champ and then he get to the E and becomes the stalker t a smugly chikk....GTFOH
Then,
Positively Page,

Maybe who was the biggest anticipation WITH the biggest let down should be a spinoff thread:
Sin Cara takes that. -

My younger brother is a Big Goldberg fan, he was looking forward to seeing him in WWE. -

I hated how the WWF had Goldberg and Lesnar just running through everyone and had thier main talent wich had been there for years jobbing to them....then both left after like 5 min and did not add anything memorable or significant to the wwf....(wich is why stone cold walked out)
