The Jedi Mind Tricks camp announced this week that they are preparing the release of their seventh album, which will be titled Violence Begets Violence and released on October 25. But, fans may not take the news as well when they learn that one of the group’s founding members and in-house producer, Stoupe, will not be involved in the newest record.
The other two core members, Vinnie Paz and Jus Allah, will both be on the record, as well as a slew of new producers including Scott Stallone, Shuko, Nero and Mr. Green. In addition, the 14-track album will feature guest appearances by King Magnetic, Pacewon, Blacastan, Chip Fu and others.
Jedi Mind Trick’s newest effort will be their seventh group album, self released via Enemy Soil Records. It will be their first group project since 2008′s A History of Violence.

Props on this, why no Stoupe???
Lol @ The front cover being from the London riots… -
^ thats what im wondering. No Stoupe = no jedi. i dont care if Allah is back or not. when did he rejoin the rosteR?
-
looks promising

No Stoupe???
Tbh the best thing about JMT are the beats.... Although the lyrics are normally on point, i wouldnt listen if it wasnt for Stoupe -
Very tough as im a huge Jus Allah fan but no stoupe is kinda turning me away.....ill go in with no expectations
-
yea i was gonna make a thread about them not having stoupe on the boards. im still coppin cuz im a JMT fan but its jus weird. i wonder if theres some sort of falling out.
-
I'm a huge JMT fan, but it isn't JMT without Stoupe. They should just call it a Vinnie Paz & Jus Allah collabo album, but I guess the JMT name is better marketing. Will still check, but I am very disappointed by this. I mean, Vinnie is actually pretty good at picking 3rd party beats as evident by his solo and the AOTP albums, but Stoupe is one of the best and will be really missed.
Why isn't Stoupe on this tho? Any word? -
Ive been looking for why Stoupe isnt on the album. havent found anything yet.
Album cover is ill imo. -

i just read the article and a figured that he wanted to do something else besides hip-hop. but i do think with some time he'll come ready to drop some hip-hop heat. -
Although I agree it's not a JMT album unless Stoupe is involved (I'd say the same if Paz wasn't involved), Paz's solo album should remove doubt he can't get the right beat makers for his projects.
Sonically
Paz's solo (no Stoupe) >>> History of Violence (all Stoupe)
Make of that whatever you want -
Giving the album a spin now . . . its not too good.

Lol. If you don't think it's so good, I'm now thinking I won't bother, I'm not a big JMT fan anyway, so I'll just stick with listening to Violent by Design. -
My take on JMT's Violence Begets Violence.
Gave the album a listen and a half, its like a wacker version of Heavy Metal Kings. The beats are not too bad, well, some are, that beat on the track with the Outsidaz is ass. Vinnie is in complete cruise control, verses are mostly good with some great lines but completely generic. And just replace the conspiracy theory but usually engaging babble of Ill Bill with Jus Allah's insanely stupid WTF violence non-sequitars, sometimes spitting a few lines that are so stupid or wack that they are unintentionally hilarious, but most of the time just facepalm inducing. The worst JMT album by far. Also the most unnecessary. The highlight of some of the more recent JMT albums and Vinnie's solo has been a lot of the non-violent RAN tracks, when Vinnie opens up on some other topics, which he is surprisingly good at. But this album features none of that, straight murder raps. I guess Jus is incapable of spitting anything that isn't "I am Do Not Disturb" type retardedness. Vinnie should boot Jus out of JMT again and apologize to Stoupe or if he ain't feeling it, get DJ Muggs or 7L to produce the next one instead of all these no name producers who I have never heard of. -
THat is very upsetting Ty. i will listen later

Don't know about upsetting, it's brutal haha -
Check out the Jedi Mind Tricks interview with Vinnie Paz, where he talks about the album, loss of Stoupe, how he would be down if Stoupe wanted to come back, the internet and his dream BET Cypher.

Damn this is unfortunate... guess I won't waste my time.

Damn Stoupe is top 5 producer DOA.
I'll still give this a peep tho. -

That's unfortunately how I feel... without Stoupe and the idea that it's generic, just sounds like a waste of time. -
the album is dope. i just listen to it las night. even tho its not stoupe on the boards it kinda has that feel. but its mos def a dope album. ive been a JMT fan for to long to turn my back on them.
