Feel free to compare what you think is better. I highly doubt it though.

I don't think that was the point of the mixtape title. early 2000s, neo soul was everywhere, but now, the mainstream doesn't have much if any interest in it. Most artists are underground now. Hence the title. But I can understand, cuz a lot of people were upset with Nas for saying the same with hip hop. In actuality, Marsha saying that was just a flip on what Nas already stated. Maybe the intent with both claims were to motivate the artists within the genres but who knows. I haven't spoken to Marsha about that so I don't have any beef with her. The album wasn't my cup of tea but that song alone beats most of what I've heard this year

4 Ever More By Anthony David featuring Algebra!!
THere wasnt any good popular Wedding Songs for 2011 except this one. Old school feel of love and devotion thats not getting spin on Black Radio these days and thats a shame! good timeless music. definitely my favorite song of any genre this year!
NEO SOUL!!!
hey Lauryn Hill and Dangelo checked out so somebodies gotta carry the torch! -
i understand where you coming from, i just feel she isn't anyone to make that her title, she hasn't done anything except give MJ a track.
she was at her best when she was part of Floetry, now she sounds like she's whining from the bottom of her throat, and that ? , no matter how hard she try, aint sexy.
her contributions to the genre are minimal at best.
You sound like you have a good ear for good music. What modern soul albumsd are your favorite? I know you like Amel's ? -
