Wu was probably bigger....
I was young when the 90's ended as well But I was a real heavy bone fan back then.....and them boys were winning grammy's -
ya'll just gon' leave out Naughty By Nature?
wait...you said mid-90s?
Gotta go with Wu. They have the advantage of group and solo releases. -
I ? w bone more, never heard of the fugees til the score dropped. But Wu wins this argument easily, and i just started likin them.

Me too I was more into bone back then. I liked the wu and fugees too. -
Bone Thugs were the most talented out them
Emotion, Lyrical Content and Message, dope Beats, dope Hooks/Melody, Substance and original Flow
What more can you ask for? -

You actully like Bone Thugs? wow never though that would be the case -
wu-tang win by virtue of them having the biggest (and the most) singles out.
shimmy shimmy ya, all that i need, brooklyn zoo, daytona 500 -

But when it comes to quality of Music and making good Songs basically overall Song Writting
Bone Thugs are way better than Wu Tang -
Looks like you're describing eminem
I mean that can describe so many Artists but Bone Thugs were about before most so that's the other thing they influenced all these Artists that have those qualies cos Bone Thugs been around since forever really
You just did not strike me as a Bone Thugs type dude
When i think of your taste i think of people like Slaughterhouse, Cannibus, Cory Gunz, Immortal Tech, J Cole etc basically very Back Pack simple Music not based on Substance or Emotion or great Beats but just random Rapping over bland Beats
But Bone Thugs to me anyway are legends and i say that with out them even being my fave group -
wu was my personal favorite but bone dropped 3 str8 classics..
-
The fugees sold more but Wu was/is bigger till this day

Lol whatever you say. But I was always a bone thugs fan. -
Crossroads is an example of Hip Hop at it's finest such a ill Song that is timeless

Man is this really close? Wu by a long shot in practically every category and that is in no disrespect to the other groups.
Impact- their impact is still felt today, mostly in Europe tough, RZA's influence on Kanye and many more, the merchandizing of Wu led to the Rocawears, Sean Johns
Music- their catalogue speaks for itself; the string of classics under their belt is unmatched. They still dropping dope, near classic albums even though times might have moved on
Longevity- they still really doing it.
Content: Wu dropped that street conscious, pro-black, philosophy/spirituality and raw hiphop; the other groups had good content as well but the Wu did all that balanced with that street edge so they get my vote on that. Grammies and awards dont mean much to me. -
