ya'll trippin...i like wu but ya'll makin them bigger than what they really were back in the 90's keep it one hunnid...wu were huge and influential but mostly on the east coast..nationwide tho bone was more popular and all over the place not just rap but even collaborating with r&b singers and having hits..lol@wu having bigger singles than bone ya'll funny for that thuggish ruggish bone, for the love of money, crossroads, first of the month, breakdown remix, dayz of our livez, if i could teach the world...even those mo thug affiliates had song hit songs it should be bone, wu, then fugees cause they were big in 96 but broke up and went solo by 97 and that was that.

i specifically named 94-96 because those groups had their most success in that 3 year span -
Never been a big fan of Wu Tang though they are legends but Bone Thugs like i always said made Music that is the essence of Hip Hop IMO Pain Music something Personal and from the heart the expressive type of Hip Hop
I'm not saying every Hip Hop Album or Song or Single has to be on some Deep/Personal/Emotional ? but when that Music is made and is made in a dope way it will capture the public there is a level of connecting to Pain Music -
Bone Thugs

Wasn't really checking for Wu in the 90's, that lyrical rap didnt really catch my attention when i was a little tyke...Bone for me, E. 1999 Eternal is timeless
-
I give it to Bone

Fugees were the most succesful......
Wu smashed it tho........
But this thread made me go slap this on -
Shiiit, Bone Thugs & Fugees (to lesser extent) were one hit wonders. Wu were cultural phenomenon. They took world by storm with whole new hip-hop vibe, variety of styles and individualists, tons of classic material that still sounds fresh today. There is no comparision!
