Yeah, it was revealed in the same way in the comics, but kind of different.
In the comics, it was Carl who killed Shane. (he didn't ? the Shane zombie, he actually killed Shane, shot him in the chest or throat) Then they buried him.
Then they found out anyone who dies becomes a zombie, so Rick goes back and digs him up, and then shoots him. (the shane zombie)

Cuz he was shot in the head. You only come back without being bit if your brain is intact. This is one of the main reasons, in the comic, that the virus might be airborne. Even a severed head will come back to life, long as theres no brain damaging head trauma.

He was still alive after the zombie ripped his guts open, but Daryl put him out of his misery by shooting him in the head.
They better just hope no one that sleeping next to dies in their sleep, lol.
also, they have to shot/stab anyone who dies in the head. In the comics they usually get a screwdriver and hammer, and use it on people that have just died. -

in the preview it looked like they were coming out the ground in the woods, like waking up or something
