Dudes tried to say I was hatin on Nicki when I was only telling you guys what I clearly saw with this new Nicki album. She turned off her Hip Hop fans and pop fans are way to fickle to depend on (See the Ja Rule/50 Situation). What Nicki is learning is what Lil Kim tried to warn her about. About how the game is to female emcees. Just cause she had 1 hit album she thought she was set, she thought everything would just fall into place for her. Mind you she is in a game where she is the main female out. I said it once, i'll say it again. She was never on Kim's level. What Kim, Missy, Queen Lauryn and others accomplished as female Emcees won't be surpassed cause it's very difficult for the female Emcee. "Roman Reloaded" may have got a #1 debut but hip hop historians will look at this as a sophomore slump.

Most Platinum Albums for a female Emcee:

    Missy - 5 (1 Multi)
    Salt N Pepa - 3 (1 Multi)
    Lil Kim - 3 (1 Multi)
    Lauryn Hill -2 (1 Multi)
    Eve - 2 (1 Multi)
    Foxy Brown-2
    Da Brat - 2

Looks like she has some catching up to do. The problem is we don't have another female out there.....it's not hard to be the best one out when you're the only one out. But then again would we (hiphop community) accept a female artist who wasnt doing all that extra ? , an just was a good artist?

    wonder what lil kim doin

Even as a Kim fan, she dropped the ball. After dropping "Black Friday" she should of had a really HARD female hip hop album on deck cause everyone knew Nicki would fall off at some point. Kim needs an LP out this year. I can't believe it's been 7 years since the last Lil Kim LP. Crazy, "Lighters Up" was the last joint from her I was feeling really. There is no excuse for taking 7 years off, I know she's had a lot of issues but 7 years? If she was smart, her and her team would be in the studio hard body right now. I know she got that Jezzy song out but she needs more.

Kim don't have a team behind her, that's the thing with these female rappers, they need a alpha male type rapper backing them. It also takes money to finance a female rapper more so than a male rapper with all their outfits, image and what not.

This album will be a colossal fail commercially if they don't work it. People think going the Pop route is smooth sailing, but it's not. For example, Katy Perry's last album was expected to have a huge first week. It sold like 192K in week one and 88K in week 2. That was with the help of massive singles. In the Pop world, you have to drop multiple hit singles in order to stay a float because there's so many other artists in that market to gravitate towards. If you can't keep the attention of the Pop audience by consistently droppin' hit singles, they won't check for the project.

Regardless of where L-boogie is mentally, she drops an LP tomorrow it will debut at #1 on the charts off anticipation alone. Out of all the females that could come out. Only Lauryn, Missy and Lil Kim will have buzz. Eve, I don't know, she's got fans but I don't know. Foxy is really don't know.

Even doe nicki has fell off i think that if she strips herself down and goes back to the basics (mixtape days) and starts droppin mixtapes for the streets while also doing hot singles and doin hella features she can get back on top she needs 2go into lil wayne overdrive and just flood da market with hot ? like he did in 07-08 then i think she'll be back where she needs to be

honestly, from listening to that Nicki interview with that ? from Breakfast Club, when she was talking about the blueprint for female emcees and how nobody has made one, i believe that Lil Kim or Foxy Brown could of set that blueprint...

Lil Kim if she kept going with the music, she coulda been like 10 albums deep by now and probably would of had at least 6 platinum album ESPECIALLY when the beef with her and "Roman" was popping off.... She shoulda dropped an album on that hoe after the "Black Friday" Mixtape...

Or better yet, make that her album. Between her and Foxy, Kim had more potential to make it happen, Foxy on the other hand was getting into too much trouble and ? .... but even she could of bounce back with another album.. but them females were on some other wild and crazy ? .

Nicki shoulda really got into acting or doing tv if she really wanted to get out her crazy side and leave Mixtape Nicki for music..

eve would of been the best example of a female rapper going big time. eve did that tv show and then when she went back to the music thing she had already lost her fanbase, and lost her hunger for rap by then.

did eve even drop the album that 'tambourine' was supposed to be on? I remember her coming back with that but not sure if the album dropped or not.
