Its a different era. I been getting down like this heavy myself for a while now, partly because of my age (36), but mostly because (A. its a good look, and (B. its timeless. Hip hop or whatever u call it style gets dated quickly and tends to be over priced...

that's a great look, Vin. but that styling is not considered preppy at all. it's considered vintage hipster.... wear accordingly

Been rocking this type of look since last year and we're prolly the same age (24)....
But lets be correct here: preppy really refers to the style of clothes that the New England rich would rock during spring and summer. We're talking pieces like cardigans, loafers, sperrys, letterman jackets, navy blue blazers (really navy blue anything), polos, rugby and oxford shirts, etc....
What most people mean when they say preppy is a mix of casual, smart casual, and business casual. Casual is a step up from streetwear (jeans, graphic tees, dunks, jordans, fitted hats ? like that) and smart casual (dress shirts w/ skinny ties and jeans, that sort of ? ) is a little more relaxed and more nightlife centric than business casual (which if you work in an office you already know about).
(Just had to get that rant out) -
I'm done w graphic tees, them ? just wear out over time (like 3 months) and get cracked up and ? .

We should be beating up these sloppy dressing cats -
See bruh this is a good preppy look right here (and seeing as how the spring/summer 2012 thread got deleted, this is the best place to post this) -
