She was ? some dude who was crashing at her place, and he paid the bills in exchange for sex.
Turns out he wasn't actually paying any of the bills, he just stuffed all the "past due" notices to the bottom of the trash can until ? started getting turned off (internet and cell phone included.) I think she was attempting to not get evicted; don't know how that turned out.
