Today is seems like it's mostly takes a child for people to get their life together. What events in your life that made you wake up and start to make an effort in your life? As for me, it was no big tragic event. Not being homeless and living life getting everything I want is my motivation.

The birth of my fist child definitely. At that point ? wasn't about me and I realized every move I made would affect her life for better or worse. Straightened my ass out

So without her, what your life would've been like?

Depends on what you mean by getting it together.

? wen u realize u aint a teen no more
like this one motivational speaker said and it really hit home for me
when u are younger u cant wait to grow up, u turn 14 and front like u 16
but as soon as you hit 21, its like u turn 21 then wake up 25, then 25 to 30,
then u wake up in your 40's
pretty much saying time flies so make the most of it while you can, you are only in your twenties once, do something memorable
and live life
? all the dumb and stupid ? , like fighting and going to jail over a ?
take advantage of opportunities
anything is possible, if you work hard, smart, and persistent

two events..
at 19 the death of my cousin woke me up from all the ? i was doin in the streets..
then around 25 me goin to jail on some bs.. fightin my case for over a year and jus watchin the system at work was all i needed to see to do what i needed to do..
been on ever since.. -
Just when you think it's together the next struggle comes
-
moms putting me in the county jail.
my ex ? about stupid ?
? not holding me down when I needed them.
Now I focus on bettering myself and enjoying life by myself.

When I climbed up out the ? and got my first look at humanity.
I was swanging from the umbilical cord rubbing my hands together thinking: "I see a town I'm liking. See some ? getting money in a town I like it." -
when daddy said
"no more money" -
Health issues. I was in college, holding down a job, and had my own apartment. On the advice of my doctor & the insistence if my parents I had to leave school, my job, & my own place & move back home w/ my pops. That was the beginning if '10. ? was the longest year and a half of my life.
? just showed me how quick life can change from good to bad. A lot of my "friends" showed their true colors as well. If anything I'm trying to get it together now & get back on track. -
There are some profound events taking place in my life right now that is really making me put everything into perspective. I believe we all go through stages in life and each major step we take is triggered by something external or a gradual change in mindset. These events are different for everyone but nonetheless at some point they accelerate us into what we are all destined to be. I'm beginning to accept that life is meant be a journey in which every experience no matter how painful it may be is meant to serve as a learning experience. With this mindset I find easier to accept what ever comes my way.
