Strong Arm.
Good leader.
Needs to develop as a pocket passer.
Dude had an offense designed to his talents. (pistol) -
Rodgers stills hurts to this day thread
-
Good skill set and size (looks a LOT smaller than the 6'4" he's listed as.) It all depends on how well he's brought up by Harbaugh. Otherwise, a solid clip-board holder in the making. lol
-
Dude needs serious development, not even debateable.

^^^^^ True, but can be said about 99.9% of all QBs taken in the draft.
Some of these player's development is "hidden" by talent around them and good coaching (Big Ben, Matt Ryan, Flacco, etc.) or another freakish talent that helps them win without being technically sound (Mike Vick, Steve Young) but they all have serious learning to do from jump. -

ESPECIALLY this year -
I'm happy about them taking Kaepernick... especially with a coach like Harbaugh to work with him.. Jim Harbaugh also said they'll take a UDFA QB when the lockout ends.. I'm hearing Pat Devlin or Scott Tolzein. Would be nice if they can get a vet to compete too.

Just wanna bring this back.
-
first time seeing him i figured he was mixed googled to confirm

Matt Flynn -
Shoutout to kaepernick for letting vernon davis get more than 4 points on my fantasy team.....? alex smith smh
-
Dude had 1 good game. Lets not go overboard. Anybody remember Matt Flynn. He had 1 good game subbing for A Rodg , got paid by seattle, now he's still holding a clipboard, sitting behind a rookie.

I say the Eagles need to go after him in the offseason since Vick won't come back. Foles ain't the ? answer.,,,

You talking Alex Smith? Because Harbaugh ain't dealing his first drafted qb. Maybe if they're ready to get ripped off the way they did the Cardinals. -

Damn! Smith balled out in his last start and this is what he gets? -
I'm happy for him. I was in his corner from the start. Only reason ? aren't that high on him is because many consider the pistol offense he ran in Nevada to be somewhat "gimmicky". so they think he's a project and that it wont translate well into the nfl. But i think he will eventually fare out
-
As a Niners fan for going on 30 years, I was never big on Alex Smith anyway. I wanted them to draft Aaron Rodgers.
I think he's holding on to this job. -
Bumping my epic thread.
Gimme goats. -

Alex Smith balled last year in divisional round at home last year too.
