dating Older men?
My lil cousin is being damn near stalked by this older dude at church. He is about 39 and she is 26. Dude has been asking different family members about her to gauge the situation. She is very pretty but on the thick side.
The family knows she will not be cool with it. More because dude is a herb than his age.
So my question is, ladies of the IC, are you willing to date a older man (6 years or older)? And if you are willing to date a older man, what are your parameters? Is it the same as dating a man you age?

I've always dated older, save a couple tenderonis..lol.
I don't see why anybody would be upset by it, it's not as if she's ? .
My boyfriend now just turned 42 and I just turned 32, so we're nearly 10 years apart, but we got together when I was 29 and to me that makes a difference.
I take more issue with men in their late 20s/early to late 30s preying on these barely adult females.
Just cause they turned 18 doesn't mean they don't still have the mind of a child...let em live a little before you swoop in like a vulture. -

That's why I thought it was funny.
My initial, shall we say, "contact" with the "object of my affection" started in 2009...when I myself was indeed 39 and she was either 21 or 22. (depending on whether or not she had her birthday yet).
A few years younger than the lady mentioned in the o/p, and an even greater age difference of 17-18 years...but @sixsicksins can attest to the fact that I don't look 17-18 years older than the mixed young lady from MD.
Therefore, I see nothing wrong with my "pursuit" of her.
Now, if I actually looked old enough to be her father, then that would make my infatuation for her somewhat disturbing and questionable.
However, since I don't, that makes everything ok :-)

Lol. Marley was messin but thank you for sharing. I personally don't see age differences as being generally right or wrong, its not so black and white unless we are talking about the obvious ie. minors and so forth. It varies as I have seen 20 year olds with the maturity of a 40 year old and I've seen 40 year olds with the mentality of a 14 year old.

The only reason why I think all the ladies should post pics is because I want to know what they look like.
However, it's still up to them whether or not they choose to do so.

i was 18 and my husband was 26 when we started dating, so i think age differences can work
i find older men quite attractive tho, i had (still do) a huge crush on viggo mortenson from lord of the rings
i like older mens' style, their confidence, their worldliness. and you don't get the feeling your dealing with a kid cuz in my experience, younger guys were pretty immature. and that's not necessarily a negative thing. but seeing as i was looking for a relationship, it wouldn't make much sense to get with someone my age since it was usually the last thing my male peers were looking for
When I was 18, I was too hopeless romantic and too idealistic and too rigid in some stances. So when I became more fun and spread out a little more and gain some experiences I fallen to that level of immaturity. Now, I'm more stable I see some other sides to a whole relationship, but idk for now would I be good with marriage. I'm in a crossroad right now and it's not about needing more ? or whatever its the freedom and etc. -
I think going past the 10yr mark is creepy. Even siblings that far and further apart have a hard time relating to each other and they're from the same family!

My man and I are the same age -
I'm only 23 but all my girlfriends have always been older than me. Hell the last two were 29 and 31. Younger females don't be about ? especially here in the D gotta date older.
