Lil B and D4L.. -
J.Cole, Top Dawg ENT, Big K.R.I.T., The Roots, Big Boi, Andre 3 Stacks (whenever he drops something), Wu-Tang still puttin out music, E-40 & Too Short is all I can think about right now.
-
I dumbed down my taste in music.
-
i dont know if i try to relate to the young cats as much as just trying to understand them. one thing that im happy to see is so many 30 plus rappers still being active and thus creating a lane for us to still be active in the culture.
-
we still have Ghostface and Black Thought.
-
I just listen to underground ? and my old ? I collected when I lived back home.
-
Y'all ? old as ? .
-
I dig in the crates, well the DL websites. I find a lot of old stuff, stuff that I wasn't old enough to like or stuff I may have needed to mature to enjoy.
Of course the old faithfuls are still regular: Common, Nas, Ghost, Roots, etc until then I play old stuff but still keep my ears open for new material too. -
Turned 30 last week and I listen to the same ? .
Boosie, Webbie, Gucci, Jeezy ect... -
Y'all some old ass ? . Lol
Don't y'all have careers to do or something. -
I'm 23 but am kind of on that same vibe. Not a whole lot coming out impressed me too much.
On a side note, 37 year old dude I work with born and raised in some Jersey projects was geeked off Life Is Good, and ? with J. Cole. lol I guess that's the direction y'all are heading... -
old is da new young!
-
Relate to the same ? that you always did: I can appreciate dope-ass lyrics even more that I'm older, so anything with creative wordplay gets burn from me. At the same time, I was raised on down south and up north east coast rap. Anything in that vein, I'll mess with, so until those regions explode, I'll always have something.
What's left is truly whatever we want, so long as it's not becoming a lame-ass, "Oh, I'm older, so I'm supposed to do/listen/think this" while looking awkward as ? . Even the King of Changing Clothes and dressing like a "grown up" still rocks some Levi's and butter Timbs with a sag at 423, and he looks more normal in that than he does in all that Eurocentric ? Kanye West keeps trying to force on himself to appear mature.
