I don't know, he was slighty above average as a mc and producer to me. He's not on the level of Quik or Dre.
Always wondered why people never used more of his beats. -
Meh, below average MC, moderate producer. I don't even think about Warren G. Regulator is a top 10 hip-hop record though....maybe even top 5
-
Top 50 West Coast Emcee
Top 10 West Coast producer
His first album is a classic and that's it -
kinda hard....even though Regulate is one the greatest albums ever made....he didn't really do to much afterwards though.....its a damn shame to because he was an underused resource....because he beats went hard
-
As far as the West:
1. Dre
2. Daz
3. Quik
4. Soopafly
5. Warren G
6. Battlecat -
Regulate is a classic album.. Period

-
I don't....
-
Regulate and that's it
-
As an Emcee he's not that great, his production is dope. His first album is a near classic for me, Take a look over your shoulder was dope aswell
-
Top 50 ...
-
I am a big fan of Warren G
Great producer, good rapper
Same goes for Daz Dillinger
But yeah
I know they can't touch Kendrick's lyrical skills
And they are not as good as Dre, but I rank them high -

gotta get Ant banks and eiht's production crew in the mix somewhere too
I'd flip flop quik and Daz
Some of Daz's beats from the Death Row period were really Dre beats that Suge just slapped Daz's name on it after Dre split.
Retaliation Revenge and Get Back was really slept on Daz always bring some heat. Always seem like he was underused as well though he has more production work than Warren G
i wonder if Warren signing to Def Jam instead of a west coast label had anything to do with it -
Don't really rank him in hip-hop in it's totality, but he's top 15 West Coast to me.
-
The G-Files had hard hitting beats
I check out anything he drops -
He's not ranked this guy has 2 good songs in his life
Dinco D>>>>>Warren G -
Joke thread. WTF is a Warren G?
-
honestly never even thought about this guy until I saw this thread and will probably forget about him when I go lurk the cheap seats section in a minute
-
1-10 I give him a 6
-
Warren G >> Game & Kendrick
So atleast he have to be top 15 or top 10 in the west.
Overall top 30? -
Warren G is pretty dope...solid rapper and a great producer! Dude produced some great tracks through the years
Most catz would agree that GFunk Era is one of the greatest westcoast albums ever. Top 3 of 94 imo
His second album was solid aswell but <<<<< I want it all
That album had some ? classics on there.. Game dont wait, Gangsta Love, ? , I want it all, Why Oh Why, WorldWide Riderz and that song with Slick Rick and Val Young
Warren also produced some heat for Pac. How Long Will They Mourn Me, Definition Of A Thug ? and Lie To Kick it
definitely slept on the brother
