That's supposedly his last film, well according to him ...
I saw it last week at the cinema and it is an intelligent film with an intelligent script. It kinda subliminally disses the whole pill popping culture in the US with an unusual twist at the end ...
I'm hoping this isn't his swansong ... He's one or has been one of the very few auteurs in film-making left. He also is a cinematographer and editor on his films
He's dropped some classic, entertaining, big budget and low budget/independent and sometimes dull films (who hasn't?) but his retirement if true will be felt in Hollywood and movies for a while

movie was pretty good. not something you end your career on tho.

He's the kind of director that can try his hand at any type of film and successfully pull it off, plus it's evident actors love working with him. He'll be back making more films.

Libarache is suppose to be his last film. Michael Douglas and Matt Damon are in it.
