Just got the S4 ....... then PS4, XB1 and maybe the Wii U later ....... plus games. Good thing I just got a job.
Damn you just got a job bruh?

Yep ........ was unemployed all last year until March this year. By choice though

are you gonna be one of those naggas braiding mens hair at the beach nh and trying to get white people to rent ? scuba gear lol

lol lol ....... nah, not that desperate. Wasn't looking for work. Decided to take a year off and just kick back.

Ya money long like that nh? Where were you working before your new job, ? , I'm tryna take year(s) off too lol.

For a Law Firm. Worked there since I left High School. Labour Laws here are like this: if you get laid off for no fault of your own or the Employer is found to have laid you off unfairly, you are entitled to compensation (severance pay) which is one month's pay for each year worked. As well as any outstanding vacation pay owed. Hadn't taken an official vacation in a long time so I had to be paid three weeks pay for each year I didn't get vacation. As well as three months outstanding pay.

Plus I have two side businesses where I import cars and parts from Japan and workout supplements, so that kept me good.

And exactly a year later I found a job ........... actually it found me

damn you got it made josh

Microsoft Won't Talk TV at E3
Larry Hyrb tweeted that the Xbox One event will be focused on games.

Just days away from E3, it's safe to say there's one thing that isn't on Microsoft's mind: TV. Despite showing off the Xbox One's compatibility with cable and entertainment partnerships, the company will keep TV talk out of the picture on stage in L.A.

"I can confirm that we will have TV's (or similar) on stage to show the games," Microsoft's Director of Programming for Xbox Live Larry Hyrb tweeted this morning. "That should be the extend [sic] of TV talk in your #E3."

This statement comes just one day after Sony CEO Kaz Hirai said that the PS4 was "first and foremost" a game console.

"The most important thing we need to make sure we do, at least initially, is that we all agree and understand that the PS4 is a great video game console that appeals to video gamers," Hirai explained. "If we miss that part, then I don’t think we get the initial establishment of the console."

The statements from both camps certainly hint that both Microsoft and Sony are concerned about keeping fidelity with ? gamers (who are ever more turning to the PC) while expanding sales to a broader and more casual audience. With each taking subtle digs at the other's aims, it's likely that both E3 presentations will be structured to focus on exclusives and upcoming software rather than auxiliary features.

What do you think of Microsoft's statements? Let us know in the comments.

Xbox One Reveal Delivers Record-Breaking Viewership Numbers for Xbox
By Lisa Gurry, Editor of Xbox Wire posted May 31, 2013 at 12:17 PM

Last week was an exciting week for Xbox. With the unveiling of Xbox One, the all-in-one entertainment system for a new generation, we knew immediately Xbox fans were tuning into the announcement in record numbers. We are humbled and grateful for your loyalty and interest in the unveiling of Xbox One

The Xbox team has been working for years for this big day, with great anticipation for fan’s reaction to our big reveal. The Xbox Reveal event drove record-breaking viewership – with over 8.45 million people watching the Xbox Reveal event in the first 24 hours, rivaling one of the top-most concurrent streamed events of all time.

On Xbox.com, we nearly tripled our previous concurrency record – with almost three times as many people watching the livestream at the same time, versus any other major event in Xbox.com history. According to our friends at Akamai, our streaming partner, the Xbox Reveal event was among the most watched live broadcasts delivered by Akamai in their history, nearly doubling peak traffic records and eclipsing concurrent viewership high-water marks set by events such as the 2010 World Cup, Royal Wedding in 2011, and 2012 election night.

While a massive success online, millions of TV viewers also tuned in. Nielsen reports over 1.73 million people tuned into our briefing on SPIKE TV and the Xbox Reveal event was the #1 television show for Men 18-34 at 10 am on May 21.

The Xbox Reveal event also drove tremendous social buzz. According to Twitter, the event was the #1 non-sports social program across all TV networks and the second most social show on television on May 21, just slightly behind the NBA Playoffs.

During the Xbox Reveal event, the Xbox team showcased how Xbox One puts you at the center of all your games, TV, movies, music, sports and Skype. And how Xbox One is designed to deliver a whole new generation of blockbuster games, television and entertainment in a powerful, all-in-one device. If you missed the briefing, you can see highlights from the day here and a full recap on Xbox Wire.

With so much interest in Xbox One, we know there are unanswered questions and a desire for more information on Xbox One. We have many exciting weeks ahead where we will provide more information – including E3, which is just 15 days away. Stay tuned.

And thank you for helping us make the Xbox One Reveal event a record-breaking event.

Much of the excitement surrounding the new Xbox can be directly attributed to the next-gen Kinect sensor. Building off what the original Kinect started this takes NUI (natural user interaction) to the next level. From natural speech recognition to more accurate ? recognition and more detailed body motion capture. Kinect has been improved so much it's almost unfair to compare with the original incarnation. In this article let's go over what we know.

    All new Camera Tech

The new Kinect has a 1080p video sensor compared to the VGA sensor from before. A huge improvement which allows for more accurate ? recognition with much clearer photos and video! Such clear video will surely come in handy for the all new Skype integration. They've also upped the resolution on the depth sensor allowing for more detail to be discerned such as fingers and the orientation of your limbs. All-in-all the new Xbox is processing over 2Gbs of Kinect data per second! Microsoft has also replaced the existing "structured light" method used to read depth on the original Kinect for a "Time of Flight" method that is both faster and more accurate. This method measures the time it takes individual photons to rebound off an object or person for the utmost accuracy.

    Complaints Addressed

The original Kinect while a revolutionary product wasn't without it's faults which aliennated some ? gamers. Microsoft has taken these concerns to heart and significantly improved the new Kinect to address them.

One such complaint was lag. The time between doing an action and actually seeing it on screen. The new Kinect with dedicated processing and USB 3.0 has latency of only 2 frames per second! That's and imperceptible 66 milliseconds! Most games with a controller have an average lag of 133ms with more sensitive games (first person shooters) having a response time of 67ms! That's a huge improvement! Also your actions will be updated in real-time at 30 frames per second! The same framerate as most games!

The other major complaint for Kinect was space requirements. The field of view for the new Kinect has been improved by 60%! Meaning the new sensor can see closer, wider and deeper than it ever could before. No longer should you have to rearrange the living room to play!

    Improvements

Microsoft didn't stop by just addressing the complaints. They also wanted to take the experience to the next level. The new Kinect can now track up to 6 people at once! It can also track each Xbox One controller due to the built-in infrared led. For example lift your controller and your character might raise his shield in-game. It will also switch the orientation of split screen games automatically according to player location.

Skeletal tracking has been much improved. Not only can it read more joints and the orientation of your limbs but also the force of your moves. Dashboard navigation will be significantly improved because now it can detect an open or closed hand. No longer will you have to 'hover' over an object to select it. A 'night mode' is built-in that can see players regardless of lighting conditions. And the new Kinect can tell your emotions (happy, sad, etc..) and even read your pulse!

    Screenshot+(152).png

Some other notable improvements are the microphone array. It can now more reliably cancel out background noise and players can use more natural speech to control it. No more guessing what commands the Xbox can understand. Just say what you want and the Xbox should do it!

    Wrap Up

All of these improvements are nothing if Microsoft can't get the device into the hands of consumers but don't worry! The new Kinect will be bundled with every Xbox One this holiday. So we should expect ample 3rd Party support! With exclusive games already announced like Ryse from Crytek and more to come in the coming soon. Stay tuned for more Kinect announcements come E3 next week!

I didn't like the original one, but this new Kinect sounds dope. IGN also said that the new Kinect can detect your entire body from 3 feet away, including with your hands up in the air.

Somewhere in the EA offices somebody is now planning Brian Boitano Figure Skating for Kinect 2: The Sequel. Some XBO exclusives are going to be fascinating and unintentionally frightening at the same time.

Microsoft CEO Takes Xbox One to Hollywood
Steve Ballmer touting the new console to various TV moguls and agents.
by Max Nicholson June 4, 2013

Honing in on Xbox One's marketability as a one-stop-shop entertainment system, Microsoft has taken its new console to Hollywood, where Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer was escorted by his entertainment studios president, Nancy Tellam, on a visit late last week to lobby CBS, WME, and other companies in the TV business.

Deadline reports that these meetings are all part of Microsoft's effort to drum up exclusive content for Xbox One's sports, music, reality and scripted programming. Additionally, said one insider, it's "to reiterate Microsoft's commitment to transitioning its business to devices and services and to explaining that Hollywood entertainment is a big part of that. Microsoft in the past has just dipped a toe but now has a real commitment."

Tellam has been assisting with these negotiations in hopes of merging "the storytelling magic of TV with the interactive power of the Xbox One." Tellam, whose background is in Hollywood, arranged meetings with CBS chief Les Moonves, Sony TV boss Steve Mosko, and WME co-CEOS Ari Emanuel and Patrick Whitesell to discuss the possibilities of creating new programming for Xbox One. Of course, the big TV project on everyone's minds is Steven Spielberg's live-action Halo series, which was likely a centerpiece topic at these meetings as well.

I always been an a fan of both systems but leaned towards the xbox a lot more because of xbox live. This time around, I gotta go with the PS4. ? MS and their totalitarian ways.
