Mean Streets looked like a documentary than a motion picture so I see why Spike (who's brilliant at making docs) choosing that over Taxi Driver .. . Which I think is Scorsese's finest

I don't really get the Taxi Driver hype for some reason. I mean it was decent, but didn't really stand out to me. -
Shots fired at John Ford
-
real ? i've never even heard of most of these movies...
never too late to step your film game up tho -
I'm a big movie buff so I've seen just about all these movies. And I'm a big fan of black and white movies too
-
Apocalypto tho?
Battle of Algiers is ? DOPE and the GOAT film about revolution, there's like a whole 20 minute stretch of the film where they just assassinate cops over and over. ? is real. They actually show it to students at West Point and the U.S. Army War College. "During 2003, the film again made the news after the Directorate for Special Operations and Low-Intensity Conflict at The Pentagon offered a screening of the movie on August 27, regarding it as a useful illustration of the problems faced in Iraq." -

When you've got a movie as new as District 9 in there I don't see why you couldn't put Nolan and Tarantino in there. Even just one movie from each would suffice.
