Watching this whole Alex Rodriguez ? got me thinking. What if Barry was white? Would MLB and baseball writers give him a break? It's there a racial agenda to keep the BLACK single season and career homerun king with an asterisk side his name? There is really is no concrete evidence that ties Bonds to steroids. Even if he did, the man was a hall of famer in Pittsburgh. I don't know, to me it seems like taking steroids ain't gonna give you 650+ homeruns. So y'all think racism is keeping Bonds from getting the respect he deserves or does he deserve to suffer for cheating?

race played ahuge factor... look at Petite Clemons and Mcgwire is a ? hittin coach for the Cardinals smh

His rep doesn't help and complete denial at the time had him lookin like Ryan Braun did during his issues with Biogenesis

cuz he shooks and jives for Boston fans... the difference between how Ortiz got treated when he was caught vs Manny was hilarious. Man they let that Paul Bunyan as roider Mcgwire get a check and be a coach..... while blackballing Bonds.... whats he gonna teach hitters? roid up then swing bat like a twig GTFOH -

His relationship with Sammy Sosa during the HR chase was some magical ? at the time...............paws.
Sosa gets no love tho and he was part of it too -

Yeah but he was also caught using a corked bat...? was pulling out all the stops -
I think Bonds was such a hard character to like, that most of the media guys just couldnt wait to see the end of him. He generally wasn't on very good terms with teammates either...He was jealous of Griffey getting the love and adulation he felt he deserved (as a better all-around player) I think that may have what led to his juicing in the first place...
I mean this guy couldnt have been the easiest to deal with:

u make good points but I think he saw guys Sosa and Mcgwire roid up and get all those props when he was better so he beat them at their own game. -
^^^^Don't get me wrong, Bonds was brilliant to watch. Steroids or no, his plate discipline and pitch selection was legendary. 200 + walks in a season is unreal. O

Still my fave player.

Canseco was the godfather, not Mark McGwire.
Bonds deserved it because hes a ? ? . McGwire was a nice easy goin guy, good with the fans. It is what it is. Ive met both, and yes Bonds is POS
