In science Theories are greater than facts. Facts are merely units of information that come and go. For instance, its 8:58 AM right now, but is less than 30 seconds it will be 8:59 AM. See, that's just a unit of information. But a Theory will use an assortment of facts to explain what time is and how it works.

Good lord people still believe a ? regular philisophical theory is the same as a scientific theory. Post modern Christianity (the bible has a allegory) came from scientific discovery. Religion has taken to changing beliefs up in small part to accommodate things that have been scientifically disproven. -
So much from the creation story is not how the universe formed. We know the sun came first and then the planet. The problem with people don't understand is the bible makes itself more than just a moral and ethical book, it's a history book with inaccuracies, false science, timeline incorrect and etc. The whole premise falls apart to be nothing more than a magical book.
