Great Win plus it was refreshing to see 2nd Half adjustments!!!

    Come on.

Lovie had some faults, but to act like his teams didn't make adjustments either in game or at halftime, is false.

Lovie is gone, he's not coming back, let him go B.

Bears = Win. Packers = Lose

    Today was a good day

the positive: coaching staff and play-calling was patient, organized and composed. Trestman came out with a conservative gameplan to start, making sure the O-line found their zone first and weren't asked to do more than they were able. 3rd quarter we came out and made adjustments. very impressive game planning by Trestman.

the O-line play can't be praised enough. Bengals have one of the best D-lines in the league and puts up a huge amount of sacks.. but with a young, new offensive line we held to zero sacks. ZERO SACKS! unreal.. Trestman was confident enough to call that running play on 4th an itches and that was the crucial call of the game.. this is only the first game for this crew and they will keep getting better.

given room to breath Cutler played his ass off.. with the time and ability to throw off his back leg he was firing ? lasers. 91.8 rating with 2 TD's, some impressive QB play out they by Jay.

special teams: incredible. when you have a kicker than can get it in 58 yards out? that ? up a lot for the other team when it comes to of field positioning.

the negative - the defensive line is worrying and needs some work, they don't have anybody that can pressure up the middle. middle of the field looked more uncoordinated without Brian out there - he was a general when it came to directing people on the field - in general Of course Peanut had a great game with 2 picks but he was beat on some huge plays by A.J. Green.. good game though for Tillman.

    Prisoner of the moment post.

And this is how I know many people didn't/don't actually watch the games, they just repeat much of the ? said on WSCR or ESPN 1000.

I can point to last season:

2012 (2nd game vs the Vikings): limiting the Vikings offense to 84 total yards in the second half, after giving up 104 yards rushing to Adrian Peterson in the first quarter alone.

There are plenty of other examples, but you not trying to hear that, your mind is made up that "NO" adjustments were ever made.

    Good win.

Started off slow but the offense executed better later on.

They're going to have to carry the defense at points this year.

no sir ... our offense did exactly what it was supposed to do ... capitalize off of the forced turnovers that the D creates. just the fact that our offense was able to roll late in the game for the W speaks very loudly. our D may be a notch or two down from last year at worst. dont forget that CIN is picked to win their division this year.

offense is slow for everyone at the begininng of the year. we are back gentlemen. we know who we are pretty much so we wont be starting off slow much longer..... and these jack ? are kicking it to hester again too. WE good!!

And to add the in 9 years with Lovie the Bears were 14-57 when trailing at the half.. The Bears rarely made adjustments on offense in the 2nd half under Lovie. Always depending on the defense for takeaways..That's why we always rode the defense damn near into the ground and had the 2nd half season collapses all the damn time...Refreshing to see a offense capitalize off turnovers. And adjust the gameplan in the to exploit weaknesses plus no sacks on one of the toughest D-Lines in the NFL this year.

Lovie was a great def coach but calling offense plays wasnt his thing everybody all over the world knew the bears would run on 1st and 2nd down pass on 3rd and punt.

The same applies to nearly every head coach in he NFL who has a specialty (offense or defense). They'll end up delegating responsibility to someone else for the other side of the ball.

Which is why Trestman elected to keep Lovie's defense in place.

Offense came through in the clutchthat was immaculately executed. from the clock management and play calling to the accurate as ? passing from Cutler.. mayne watch out if we can get this D working right.

Hester had a phenomenal game that was great to see. *dusts off the #23 jersey and hangs it in the closet*

Only issue was the 1 and goal from the 1 PASS that turned into a INT
    STUPID PLAY

Had they ran it in or even kicked a FG, it would have taken the morale from the Viks. We let them hang around.

Other than that, great game in all three phases

exactly ... and the most importnat thing to look at is that none of our problems take our destiny out of our own hands. signs of a solid team.

    Cutler in the clutch

all he has to do is settle in, he still has those jitters from when he had to do so much to avoid taking hits for the last few years (thats why that ball on the 1 yrd line got tipped and picked). he's becoming more confident in our young O line, now he can use that clutch gene with out worrying about injury etc, which makes for better decision making. has he even been sacked yet this year period??

we dont have a "floor general" like we had with urlacher. thats what were really missing. but the D has alreay proven themselves imo

and like i said in my last post, they are forgetting about not kicking it to hester. now that our offense is better, keeping the ball out of his hands on punt returns is imperative. good offense + constant good field position= automatic loss for opposing team.

we arent at the top of our game yet, no one in the league is yet. but we are one of the only teams that will become considerably better with time. these first two victories ARE HUGE MORAL VICTORIES. soon as we start to actually dominate teams we will be a serious problem.
