What do they have to do to have the best chance against The Champ?
I think you have to have more similar skill with the ability to move and defend!
You have to be able to good body to head combos cuz if you don't slow him down wit body shots trying to hit his head is like trying knock out a swarm of flies with only your hands!
Floyd is a defensive master but he does give his opppenents a chance to hit him!
Canelo was a descent offensive fighter but his hands to slow and they hyped this kats power like he was gone break ribs and ? he didn't never get a damaging shot!
I seen plenty of fights and can tell that some of these challengers have no hand speed and can't catch Floyd using minimal movement!
How did Canelo have undefeated record with the lack of skills!
Seems like lack of competition in this era it use to be way more competitive!

the type of fighter... that it takes to beat floyd ... is the same type of fighter that will make floyd look even more impressive ... and that fighter has to maintain that mindset to even have a chance..

every fighter that comes in that ring looks far different before and after a Mayweather clinic, Mental Warfare ...they end up fighting themselves, Mayweather and frustration

Handspeed smarts and reach and size. The only fighter I felt had a good shot was Vernon Forrest. Hearne and ray Leonard would beat him in pickem fights

Balrog from Street Fighter

I'll paypal against anyone if he faces Taker at Wrestlemania...

Floyd basically should line up all potential contenders and do this...
I know who would beat Floyd...
Or...

Only type of fighter I can think of that would have a chance is the type with a constant attack. Floyd, however frustrates these fighters and they eventually tire out. When they slow down in the slightest, he will win points all night.

To beat Floyd u must be in great shape. Must be able to cut the ring off and get off first. Plus have atleast have 6 different game plans. Cuz Mayweather is a master at adjusting. It's no one at this moment that can do all these things effectively so he will go out Undefeated unless some prodigy comes outta nowhere.

Honestly, unless there's a way to reverse the age of Sugar Ray Leonard, Marvin Hagler, etc. there's nobody that will give Floyd competition. He's an amazing boxer in a time where the competition is average to good.

If they were ever to fight, do y'all see Broner being able to compete with Mayweather if he hone's his skills and footwork more?
-
Well in my opinion, somebody who can think 1 or 2 steps ahead when fighting.

And a extremely log reach that can pepper mayweather with shots and catch him even when he thinks he's out ofrange. gonna have to also be the greatest counter boxer ever also with a similar pedigree as Money.

First off he has to be black. Confidence is everything, and the other races don't have the wit to exchange words with Mayweather, nor do they actually believe they can beat him. Black people have a sixth sense called black excellence (lol) where we truly believe we can take down any and everyone.
... He has to have longer reach, punching power and be a fairly aggressive fighter (extreme stamina is a must with this style of fighting).
The thing with Mayweather is, he turns into a dragon if you get a clean hit or embarrass him. And he can completely change his fighting style mid round. Because of this, the guy has to also be a boxing mastermind like Floyd and have a legitimate plan A thru M.
Conclusion: Floyd is staying undefeated ? !!!! Even if some new phenom like I described did come to the scene, he would probably refuse to fight Floyd since Floyd would more than likely be his mentor/idol, and it wouldn't make sense career-wise since Floyd is on his way out.
Why stain your record on a ? who's retiring? You beat him, he's washed, you lose, you're not real deal. -
a genetic freak... tall as ? , strong as ? , but can make the weight...
Why r yall laughin? Lol This is spot on.
I just made the comparison to how Kobe is the last of a dyin brees in hoops (skill/bball iq), and look what it took to overthrow him: a genetic freak. Not to diminish Bron as only that, but its true
Same goes for the next great fighter: he wont b as skilled as floyd, he'll have to b great in a completely different way
