-
STEVIE WONDERNot close. Stevie is head and shoulders above the rest. Especially if you're talking PURE singing ability.
Y'all letting style preferences cloud your judgment, voting for pop-tart chart ? and ? . -
Smokey Robinson>>>>>>
and lol @ ? Dro spelling Boyz 2 Men. what a ? -
OTHERR. Kelly by FAR
-
OTHERSmokey Robinson is very underrated
-
OTHERHow this ? gonna do a GOAT singing list and leave off GOAT singers.
Ain't even got MJ on it. No Willie Hutch. No Barry White. No Prince. No Smokey Robinson. No Curtis. Leroy Hutson? Little ? ? No Sly & Family Stone, Ojays, or muthafucking War. Where Franky Beverly? Earth Wind and Fire? And that just to name a few.
I'll give the others they props, but that poll ain't doing music justice. Luther ain't impressive vocally and his music boring as ? . Imagine if the apocalypse happened tomorrow and his music was all they found that was left of black existence. -
MARVIN GAYEI like Marvin.
R.Kelly is nowhere near a soul artist he is barley R&B. Too much rap for me plus he say things like 2 gorillas in the jungle makin' love? Add in the monkey sounds from TP2 confused me -
STEVIE WONDERWillie Hutch should be on the list..........
-
STEVIE WONDERStevie Wonder from that list. I was never big on Luther, his voice didn't have that "it"factor for me.
The voices I love:
Stevie Wonder, K-Ci Hailey, Anthony Hamilton, Charlie Wilson -
OTHERi'm calling it now......usher hitting 100 million in the next 5 years.....

I ? with LUTHER but he isnt making songs like Marvin was -
STEVIE WONDERWho can really ? with Stevie Wonder though?
Even Mike jack borrowed some of his style -
sam, stevie, luther or marvin.
cant pick, but its one of these four.
lol @ boyz ii men being mentioned. -
MARVIN GAYEMarvin easily for me. Nobody's music touched the soul like that brother.
-
OTHERD'angelo or Maxwel
-
OTHERThe funny thing is Maxwell has a better voice than a lot of these older cats, but yall won't hear an argument for him because you don't think a great soul singer could come out of an era that isn't the 60/70's.
-
OTHERi'm calling it now......usher hitting 100 million in the next 5 years.....

Michael & Otis really should have been included though. -
TEDDY PENDERGRASSMarvin was that dude .... But I voted for Teddy P ... dude was force in R&B and Soul music between the mid 70's & mid 80's
