lmao how da ? can Jay Elect be da best from NO wit no ? album? apparently not a lot of heads even kno hes from da NO
What the ? does dropping an album has to do with him rapping? It doesn't say who makes the best music we talking who's the best rapper from this region so lyrically it's Jay electronica to me ? an album the ? can rap
if u wanna call somebody da best from a city, he needs a body of work, impact, hit singles etc. just being lyrical dont mean ur da best from da city, i bet u if u asked New Orleans ? they wouldnt vote for Jay Elect plus Jay Elect doesnt even have much versatility anyway, Juve nd Mystikal could make a song bout anything without soundin awkward most of da ? i heard from Jay Elect was on some 5% serious type ? -
Jay ElectronicaI like how the poll says rapper, not ARTIST, and all of a sudden, Rapper=Artist.

Lil WayneI would take the wayne BEFORE he got locked up over anything else from the N.O. he would of rapped circles around everybody on that list outside of maybe jay elec
I thought this was about overall best rap artist rather than who can out rap who, and was based on things like catalouge, songs, classic albums etc
Ok well.....

JuvenileI gotta go with Juvie, dude went from a bounce artist (dudes from the city know what I'm talkin about) to a str8 up monster on the mic...See what puts him up there is that Juvie rap'd about 'real' ? ...Dude told stories, one verse jumps out is his verse on "Respect my mind" he told stories and kept his rap as real as possible..? ppl went through down here doing those times..and still going through...Mystikal was good too..Slim, Wayne was good, but folks would only judge his body of work from when he was 14 until about the Dedication series and those were mixtapes..just rapping (still good) but when putting together an album and telling stories that ppl can relate too and having concepts/visuals follow what you're rapping about..hands down Juvy got this one...the B.G. on dope was raw too..but again Solja Rags and 400 degrees and them Hot Boy albums..Juvy was killing ? ...A poster posted one of Juvy's old song's and listen to the ? he's talkin about and how a dude can relate to the everyday street ? he spittin..lol..again..Mac is a silent dude on the mic too..he was cold too...he's up there along wit Slim...Mac told stories too..but Juvy came close to home with his stories and rhymes...and you gotta look at the time when these cats were rapping...how life was then to make this argument..Times factor in too...but that's a whole nother in-depth conversation...But that whole 400 degrees is a blueprint of street life down here or anywhere..especially that song "Ghetto Children"...man when I heard that song...that ? hit so close to home..lil ngas selling drugs and ? ..nga telling you about the whole process of dealing drugs at a young age...nga gave you the game on that song..it's more songs he has on that album about street ? and the everyday struggle but that song there..."Ghetto Children" every nga in N.O. or close to every nga in N.O. been in that situation... "some of these ngas be trying to run G, so I be gip'in them' they will do the same to me...if that ? aint on some real type ? ..it's more gems he would drop in his song..to show you how ppl and ? is...
