? you talm' 'bout? Due to Dr. King'em marchin' protestin' boycottin, and their willing to undergo intimidation, verbal, physical abuse, being jailed, assaulted, threaten, beaten, stabbed, shot, beaten, burned, and lynched that even brought light to the issue of segregation and being treated as a less than human being in their own country. If it wasn't for their efforts, ? still have to pay poll taxes, call white folks Mr. or Ms. followed by whatever their first name is, and ? would be ? ' and shittin' themselves trying to find the colored bathrooms.

Still doesn't mean a black man signed it, though.
And now the abuse is less physical a system has been put in place. Mental slavery. All the money you earn, still goes back into their system. Their isn't a "black" country which builds it's own car's or weaponry, doesn't have it's own structure economically, when the Briton's "freed" Jamaica, all of a sudden ? starts to flood the neighborhoods, etc. Same with the rest a the world, in black neighborhoods.The Indians or Asians are who sell all Caribbean food produce, or black hair products. All black singers are phased out by white ones etc. Enjoy your freedom -

And who's fault is that?

Guess you are butthurt because of Jamar's statements? You do have a point that is well known though.
-
Why would any black person sign either document? Maybe I'm missing the point.

Considering the history of this country, it could've been worse. I get what you saying threadstarter, Blacks are definitely a minority in this country so the influence can only go so far but we've still come a long way. After reading 12 Years A Slave I'll take a victory any way it comes. We still gotta be a more independent community though, I admire what many Africans and Caribbeans do when they come here

@jono, when a prisoner is being released from prison, they're given something to sign, they don't just get released like that.
-
You can't be seriously equating these documents to prison release

The organization of power is near identical in both of those examples.

@hoesB4bros exactly

Organization of power is irrelevant. They don't have the same legal standing. -

Wtf? The emancipation proclamation didnt free ANYONE. it was merely a PROCLAMATION. It proclaimed slaves were free in the confederate states who already seceded so they werent even part of the nation anymore! They had their own president for crying out loud!
Also ****HONEST*** Abe Lincoln EXCLUDED border union states that had slaves so even the slaves they COULD free they intentionally chose not too.
And the Civil rights act is PROOOOOOOF we are guests in this house. Why would we need to be given rights when every man is equal according to the nations Constitution?? Are we not considered men? Blacks are still considered aliens, period. We aint muhfuckn citizens, we are considered INCORPORATED PROPERTY and are made "artificial" entities via the 14th amendment incorporation clause. Your birth cert is your RECEIPT, they OWN your birth RECORD . Its all a lie, WAKE THE FCK UP
The only reason the ppl are turnin on the govt now is bcuz it aint racism no more its CLASSISM. Now ppl of all races have been HAD. -
