Y'all are also forgetting the new rules that help out offenses. Denver is special but yards are up across the board.

They or the 2007 Pats would not have done that back in the 90s or early 2000s when it was an even battle between offense and defense. That's why Moreno's records stood for so long.

2013 BroncosAlways easy to say "woulda coulda shoulda" but that's a horrible argument.
Who's to say if you take the 'greatest defenses of all time', put them in 2013, that they wouldn't give up 500 yards or 40+ points to a healthy Denver?
Works both ways. -

The Pats went against 5 of the 10 best scoring defenses in 6 games (including the playoffs) and averaged 29.8 PPG.
They also put up 52 on the #11 ranked Redskins D and 48 on the #13 ranked Cowboys D.
The 2007 Patriots had a better overall team that helped score 589 points though, 56 of them were on defense. So in total without defensive td's they scored 533. Compared to 578 that the broncos had. It's really a close call either way.
But GSOT>>>>
Kurt Warner in 2000 had 3,429 yards passing but missed time and Trent Green threw 2,063 yards in 8 games he played. If Warner would've never got hurt we would've seen him smash Marino record. -
2013 BroncosBroncos. They have more weapons. Welker, Thomas, Thomas, Decker. 5 players scored at least 10 touchdowns. Pats only had Moss hit double digits, even though he did beast with 23. A complete team is more impressive to me.

Lol Sometimes stats ruin what it means to b knowledgeable
Bruh...unless u talkin top 5, maybe top 8,mentioning a defense's rank in an argument like this is pointless
Im a Skins fan. I remember that game clearly. We didnt have a chance. idc what r rank was.
And the Buffalo Bills have a top 10 defense this year. You wouldnt say 'Man Denver lit up Buffalo, so u know its real!' -
2013 BroncosIf u say Pats it has to be based on eye test, which is cool. But there is no stat to back it. The numbers all favor Denver
-
2007 Patriotsdefenses are a lot worse now
-
2013 BroncosFor everyone saying the defenses keep getting worse. I assume y'all are giving 04 Colts the nod over 07 Pats?
-
2007 PatriotsPatriots played the NFC east that year which was dominated with defense like the eagles cowboys and giants. Not to mention the ravens defenses and the Steelers defenses. They also played a colts team and San Diego when they were good
-
2007 Patriotspats also had a tougher schedule
-
2013 BroncosPats ran the score up on purpose
Broncos offense just flows and then turn it down at the end of games. -
2013 BroncosWelker and Moss caught 52% of Tom's passes, got about 55% of the Pats passing yards (40% of total offensive yards), and 62% of passing TD's ( 46% of the offensive TD's.)
Thomas and Decker caught about 40% of Peyton's passes, got about 50% of the Broncos passing yards (37% of the total offensive yards), and 45% of passing touchdowns (35% of the offensive TD's.)
The Broncos have the more complete offense. Take away Peyton's #1 he still had 5,000 yards and 41 TD's. Take away Moss, Brady had under 3,500 yards and 27 TD's. They both beasted, but the Broncos can ? you in more ways -
New England played against 8 top 10 defenses in 2007, Broncos only played against 2 this season

Broncos had a soft schedule this year.
Pats had a tough schedule that year. Cowboys, Eagles, Giants, Colts, Ravens, Chargers, Steelers... All very good teams that year.
Plus DB's were still allowed to hit WR's back in 2007. Now they're barely allowed to do their job.
