I just read through this thread and I keep seeing people say they are using wax and gel. That stuff is no good for locs. Wax will cause build up and clog the pores on your scalp. Gel will dry you all the way out. Both will prevent growth. I don't retwist my own, but where I go they use this.
Ima try this after I run out of my current product, I have heard great things about Taliah Waajid. -
I use this too.

This is the only one i have on my phone. I can upload a better one where I have them down when i get home so you can see them better. But you should be able to get the general idea. I did mine kinda big because i was too lazy to do a bunch of little ones, but I still liked them.
I know y'all in here talking about hair and whatnot, but who is this breathtaking Nubian specimen? @NuLife

Been natural for a little over a year and now im in the process of starting locs with small box braids, im 3 months in... no buds in sight
Anyone else start theres will braids? If so you have any tips?
This question is for everyone, how long it take your hair to start locing?
Heard water helps accelerate the locing process is that true? -
I started buding in a month and a half. Fully locked in 3 months. Water won't help loc but you do need to wash them, ? scalp will inhibit growth and cause irritation.

I started mine with twist
my hair started locking withing 3-4 months
sea water helps accelerate locking. If you are by the ocean take a dip. There is probably some concoction you can make with sea salt and water. -

Does this product feel like a gel or a cream?
I have used the one below. It doesn't hold more than a week. That's why I stopped using it.

@ohmars…I use barry fletcher loc serum and I love it. I always try different products just to see how it stands against what I normally use
