So, lemme get this straight. DC is fixin' to ? off this guy at the end of Forever Evil???
-
i cant see it happening so soon after Damian's death. Maybe he'll get crippled and become the New 52's Oracle lol
-
yo I read the new apocalypse issue, that ? Is money.

Whatever happens next is going to lead to Captain Cold and Lex Luthor showing up in Justice League starting this April.

Yo that lineup goes hard as ? . I wonder where barry, superman, and green lantern will end up.
-
Considering their 2 worst enemies are on the roster I definitely see Superman and The Flash leaving the team out of protest.

I don't c y bruce or anyone else would b cool with lex joining the team for any reason.
shoutout to cyborg for maintaining that status quo of having the ? stand in the back for a group pic. -
Billy Batson too. Lex Luthor aligned himself with black adam as well. My only guess for bruce would be Lex is somehow involved in saving Nightwing.
-
Guess it is official at this point. The Cover for the final issue of Nightwing -
Could be him giving up Nightwing though. I could see ? Grayson being this world's Owlman though. Remember we learn that his family has direct lineage to the Court of Owls.
-
I highly doubt that court of owls ? would ever be brought up again. I do think he won't die though. DiDio learned his lesson years ago he's not going to go through that mess with the fans again. I see Grayson just operating as ? Grayson from Forever Evil on out for quite sometime. TBH I don't really care either way cause this watered down New 52 ? Grayson is not the same character I grew up reading for 20 plus years. So I have no real attachment to him despite ? Grayson usually being my favorite DC hero outside of Batman and Superman.Whatever happens next is going to lead to Captain Cold and Lex Luthor showing up in Justice League starting this April.

That's nice but there's definitely precedent for such a team up not just in elseworlds stories but older continuity DC stories too. This is just the New 52 way of dealing with that trope. Lex Luthor has always had shades of gray to him like a lot of other DC villains (Black Adam, Sinestro, Deathstroke, Ocean Master, Captain Cold, Two Face etc.). He isn't some blatant mustache twirler and the main hook of this series has been to highlight that about the DC rogues and how "evil is relative".
Anyway it could be that Lex is the hero of the day at the end of FE. The govt and the people see that and want the JL outlawed since they'll blame the CSA takeover on the incompetence of the heroes. So this could end up being the only way for superheros to operate in a post-FE DCU, by cooperating with Lex in a team environment because the world leaders and the people end up putting so much trust in him after he saves the planet.
Or it could even be that that is not the mainstream Lex Luthor and is instead Alexander Luthor the traditional hero from Earth 3. But I have my own theory about that character and this event. I think if the hooded guy is Alexander Luthor then like tradition Lois Lane from Earth 3 will end up having his kid. The twist will be this time that this Luthor unlike his older appearances is as selfish and manipulative as the mainstream Earth's Lex.
Since the Earth 3 Lois in this case is Superwoman I think she's really carrying Alexander's baby and she was the one who told him "soon" before he smiled under the hood in last months JL. She's conspiring against Owlman and Ultraman on Luthor's behalf and they plan on taking this world for themselves. So I don't see JL Luthor really being Alexander being the case. There are different possibilities that could be taken it's all a matter of waiting to see how it ends up playing out. -
LMAO -
I'm liking it, but I prefer how Marvel did "Infinity" and alot of their stuff now, by releasing books biweekly.
-
The story may be slow in terms of how the narrative is unfolding but the characterizations have been on point. Sinestro, Captain Cold, Deathstroke, Manta, Adam and Luthor were all excellent in this issue. So consistent with their best characterizations that it felt like the reboot never even happened. I also liked Power Ring's brief moment of bliss cause I felt pretty sorry for the guy.
-
Deathstroke switching sides was gully as ?
-
I don't mind the slow story, just wish they came out faster. 2 per month. Can't wait to see who's under the hood and who destroyed earth 3.
-
the new power ring will be a Latina female.
geoff johns hinted at this in his last green lantern book. damn he had it all planned ahead. very impressive. -
I figured that's where the ring of Volthoom would end up. That Jessica Cruz chick has been talked about long before Johns even finished his Lantern run. Hell I remember one of the first ads for this event being

Beyond just Forever Evil, how would you guys rate Justice League as a book? I just copped the three trades that are out.
-
Probably a 3/5 but only because of Throne of Atlantis and Curse of Shazam. If it wasn't for those stories I'd rate it much lower. I think it's become general consensus that the first arc wasn't very good sure but the second arc was even worse.
-
i dont even remember the second arc.
-
And Im a week late, but that Metal Men issue of Justice League was excellent.
-
I see what y'all was saying. Graves was a pretty lame villain. Moving on to the Throne of Atlantis
-
I just finished Forever Evil #6SMH @ what happened to ? Grayson

Johnny Quick caught that ether
