10 was the last semi free roaming game. They all started to get more linear after that. Damn near a side scroll with 3D elements. They should have never gotten away from Turn Based.

1 to 10 were all good. With 4,6,7,8,9 and even 10 being classics. I think FF4 is very underrated. Square got greedy and it ruined them.9 and 7 are the best ones

Loved 1-10. I played the MMO FF11 for a bit. Never played 12 but did play 13 and 13-2.
Currently playing FF14 the MMO, 15 is looking awesome gameplay wise. Dunno how the story will be. -

Final Fantasy VI (III here in the U.S.) was the best to me. IX and X were great and VII is solid but it's one of the most overrated games of all time.

Played the demo, the combat system is cool but I aint know what the hell was going on storyline wise and the graphics look worst than ffxiii

Bumped this thread just to say gamespot got ? ? up, they charging more for a used game than what you can get it for brand new online.(and that's including shipping, because Amazon usually does free shipping for new games)
But really, if you haven't played XIII-2, it's worth the $9.99 or so you can get it for used now, it's a pretty fun game. If you like it enough to get the DLC, there are some pretty interesting boss battles, a couple being among the top 10 hardest bosses in FF.

Meh... if you played FFXIII, save yourself the wasted effort and pretend the series ended after first entry (as it should have)
Go buy FFX HD instead. Hoping they make a FFXII/Dragon Quest VIII HD collection next.
