We both live in NYC so yeah basically smh

And most movies are trash. Mostly explosions or a remade movie, no real story lines, independent movies are better and cheaper
-
Havent been to the movies in a while got enough saved stubs to buy a mansion
Id say 12.50 possibly more
Back in the day at our lil town theatre moves was about 6.50 -
Back where I went to school for my undergrad, the movie theater in town was $7. I bet its still the same price. Come back home and its double and more. ? unreal.
-
new rochelle ny
$12.50 -
11 dollars
-
14.50 for the 3D action...which is why I bootlegs everything...I can buy groceries for a week w 15 dollars
-
I've been doing this for like 5-6 years now. I go on a Saturday before noon. Its like $5-$6. I'm in Louisiana. I enjoy the movie. No badass kids or crying ass babies.
-
That's y I never watch only one movie I stay theater hopping. I ain't paying $13.50 for one movie when the Chinese lady would've gave me 5 movies for twenny if I holla'd at her right.
-
Them ? be up to date too, good quality and packaging
-
$10.00
-
Pay matinee price and sneak in everything else
-
Matinee $5>>>>
-
Y'all doing it wrong. Gotta go to the matinee.
The movie is the same as it is at night -
Think Wynnsong still has the five dollar Tuesday deal. Dollar food and drink. 7.50 for corporate anytime tickets any other days.
-
$12 but I was just telling somebody awhile back..you know how much it cost for a dad to take his wife and two kids to the movies?
4 tickets is like $50
popcorn for kids: $8
Popcorn for you and wife $8
4 sodas:$20
So even if you dont get no real food at the movies you lookin at around $86 for probably a BS movie that you aint even feelin all that much because you gotta make it friendly for the kids -
Galaxy theaters has $6 tuesdays in my city (they also give out free membership cards to earn points for free movies, concessions, etc). Also a theater in Round Rock charges no more than $3 for a ticket (for movies that have been out for a while). I've never had to pay more than $10 for a single ticket though. I tend to stay away from 3D and IMAX showings
-
my best friend works at the theater with a couple imax screens so i get in free whenever i wana see the blockbusters. can't keep me out that ? in the summer.
but the regular theater here is 10.50 i think. -
The cause of these prices. Is it greed that it goes beyond inflation?

the theater here does family days sunday matinees. half prices for groups of 4+ -
i havent been in years but im sure the national average is around $12
maybe i'll take my kids to see the lego movie when they start showing it at the dollar movie theater. i personally havent wanted to go to the movies in quite some time. -
Toronto
$12.99 standard
$18.99 for IMAX
Those prices have been steady for the last 5-7 yrs. I don't really ? with the movie theater unless its a epic. Last time I went was to see confessions of an iceman. Not a "epic" but I read the book so I wanted to check it out. Last movie I saw in theatre b4 that was dark knight rises. Cap2 about to make me step out again. -
my friend runs the local chain so as long as he's around I never have to pay.only ever have to pay for Imax, but when it's the biggest screen in Europe that ain't no thang.
don't even know what the general price for a ticket around here is,it's been that long since I bought one. -
so you guys don't have an unlimited system out there?or you do but no one here's signed up for one?
-
Movies are $5 on Tuesdays in some theatres out in Toronto... thats when ? tight and crowded as a ? lol.
