^^Da Bichez,Come Clean,Playing ya self are my favs from him. -
he was throwin sublims at most the East Coast artists at that time that were on that Willie ? . That song
"The ? " always seemed like it was directed toward Big/Puffy and Jay-Z -
also Ice Cube threw a subliminal at Jeru on "West Up"....."Now I gotta show you how the West Coast rock/no razor
blades in my mouth, just a glock/and I'm hittin' you up with that W-S/The Sun rises in the East but it sets in the West -
Jerus first two albums were greatness. and he wasnt just lyrical, he had a real positive message to his ? . Plus Primo was killin the beats. Fav songs come clean, one day, ya playin yaself, d original

First Two LP's Are East Coast Classics.....Black Cowboys Me Not The Papes Come The Frustrated ? Clean Ya Playin Ya Self ...All Them ? Were BANGIN...Jay Electronica Reminds Me A Lot Of Jeru
-
What killed Jeru at the time was his falling out with Primo. He put out music after Wrath of the Math but it didn't have that same feel.

now that you say that I see that too jeru and jay elect are pretty similar. must be the 5%er style they both evoke through their lyrics

Dope dope dope dope dope..love his first 3 joints especially. Had alot of gems on them DJ Honda albums too (Mos Def had gems too and many others..).
Dude is a clever emcee with dope metaphors and a dope content. Dude does a great job off not coming off too "preachy" (hate that term btw) or "boring" IMO. He gets his message across in a creative way. Listen to his first 3 albums.
