Happy Wars is coming to X-1

I had an Xbox but always avoided Halo Combat Evolved and Halo 2. Just never was the biggest FPS fan. They need to have a certain extra oomph to grab my attention like System Shock 2 or Deus Ex. I guess it's time for me to give this series a chance finally though. Anniversary edition looks amazing.

Interesting. The June software kit M$ released is already making a difference according to developers. If Sony loses the perceived the graphical advantage they might be in trouble with no interesting upcoming exclusives to fall back on. Especially with the more "core" shooter audience that's on XBOX Live with games like Destiny/Bungie and Battlefield. Be crazy if Sony put all that money into aligning with Destiny only to have it sell more on XBO. But the audience will probably be split between Destiny and the Master Chief Collection...also at 1080p/60fps. -

1080p isn't really a graphical feat as opposed to resolution. Blazini can tell you the Hardline looks like ? and on the flipside, Ryse is only 900p but still top 3 best looking games this gen so far. -
Came across this on NeoGAF
MS' 2014 lineup

Yea, you'll notice I said "perceived graphical advantage". Its just really important to Sony right now to make people believe it matters more than it does, and/or that only the PS4 is capable of it. There was an interesting quote from a Witcher 3 dev about it.

Did not know Ori was this year. M$ 2014 is crazy, especially when you add Titanfall. Its not listed on that chart, but according to XBOX Wire and the devs, D4 is due later this year also. Cuphead is also a console exclusive next year, the most interesting looking indie game I saw.

Ori and the Blind Forest looks flipping amazing. Missing out on that and Sunset Overdrive this fall will be my only real regrets in not buying an XBO this fall. I'm all over them like fleas on a dog in 2015 though.

Leaving E3 2014: The beat goes on with our July update
By Major Nelson posted June 13, 2014 at 8:30 AM
Here’s a shortlist of features rolling out in the next few days to folks getting early access to the Xbox One system update.
Snap Mode for Achievements. As we showed at our E3 Green Carpet event before the show, we’re offering an easier way to track and view your achievements in the moment. With Achievement Snap, you can track your achievement progress in real time without ever leaving the game. You can also ‘Get Help’ on any Achievements you’re struggling with. Xbox will scan the web for you and deliver relevant tips and strategy content right to your TV.
Double-tap to Snap. Double-tap the button on your controller to bring up Snap Center, where you can launch Achievements or any other snap-able app, without leaving your game. Already have an app snapped? Double-tap quickly switches between your game and the snapped app. You can already do this with voice.
Digital Bundles and Compilation Discs. We’re doing some work now so that publishers will have options for great digital bundle and disc compilation offerings in the future. As we test this feature, we’ll be seeing more flexible combinations of game titles and game content.
‘Like’ Game DVR clips. We’re adding the ability to ‘Like’ all your favorite Game DVR clips as well as activity feed items in SmartGlass.
Choice of Spoken Language. Folks in New Zealand, Ireland and Austria, with this update in July, will be able to select voice control using the English or German voice models from other countries. And if you're an expat in an English-speaking country, you, too, can choose any of the other English language models that fit you.
Once again, thank you for your incredible support. You’ve helped us make E3 2014 a memorable one. But we have no intention of letting our foot off the gas. We can’t wait to roll out these new features in July as we pave the way for an amazing line-up of blockbusters and exclusives this holiday.
