Chicago BullsIf he wants a ring going to the Bulls makes sense for one the west is stacked with too many good teams (Spurs, GS, Portland,etc) playing in the east there are 3 teams Mia, Pacers, and Chicago. He can't go to Miami cuz there is no way they can afford the big three plus melo even with pay cuts by the big three and wade and lebron have said they aint gonna take pay cuts so the owner can fatten up his wallet more.
As for Houston Harden plays no defense he can score all day but stop anybody on def to save his life, d12 is d12, so let's say he goes to the Bulls with a healthy rose,noah, and melo as a 2nd scoring option imo they can challenge Miami and let's say Rose has another freak injury and is out for the season Melo becomes the scoring option that they needed this year when Rose went down and STILL won 48 games -

With a healthy rose the bulls were close to contending, they had one of the best D's in the league and were #1 in the east. the only thing they lacked was a consistent offenses which he could bring. Problem is to sign him they have to amnesty ? , trade gibson and maybe butler for cap space so there goes some of that depth. but if they can keep those pieces to say thats not enough is foolish. all depends on a healthy rose though of course. -

New York KnicksChicago, The coaching staff don't SEE eye to eye with management, and Thibs most likely will be gone in a year or two. Going to chicago, makes no sense.
Houston problem is defense. Attaining a defensive specialist or two, is more logical for the championship aspirations of the Houston Rockets.
I believe Carmelo is over the super team collaborations. What happened in Miami was pure luck. Bosh was a star humble enough to adjust his game. And DWade injuries knocked him down a few pegs, and he became a 2nd option at best. Which allowed, for the cohesion we now see In The Heats Team.
The Knicks are heading in the right direction. They have new management On board, whose brand is synonymous with success. Melo jumping ship will be the beginning of the end for him.
In my opinion, Carmelo understands, if he brings a ring to NYC . It would be more significant then winning multiple else where. Carmelo understands his legacy.
We have a decent Roster, with a solid system, that could definitely make noise in the Leauge.

Think how much Lebron deferred to Wade in year 1 and how it probably cost them a ring vs Dallas. Part of the reason they ended up winning is b/c Wade declined just enough to where there was no debate on who was best.
W/ Melo in his prime, and seeing how him and Bron interact, i dont see Bron taking charge over Melo, both on-court and as teammates/leaders. He seems to respect Melo even more than he does Wade. -

From watching this video (recorded on June 3) I think Melo is staying in NY. Melo just wants to experience the recruiting process of free agency. I hope he goes to the Bulls but we'll see.
