1988 had a better roster IMO. Some of those dudes on the '92 list had not yet entered their prime. Like HBK ('93 - '94 was his 90's peak) or Taker who didn't truly become interesting till '96. Others were way past their prime by that point like Koko B. Ware, Dino Bravo, Snuka and Valentine. It was also the time where they gave Tito Santana that wack ass matador gimmick for no real reason. On the flipside 1992 was also the last great year of the Golden Era though. Some of the best matches in WWF history took place back then. Before the mediocrity that was the majority of 1993 - 1996 began.
-
Very solid roster. It's so sad that the very next year the roster looked like ? . 1994 the roster was decimated, 1995 it was barren.
-
Early '92 maybe a lot of those cats were on their way out.
WWE in early 2002 was deep too. -
I always thought Ric Flair should of took Shawn Michaels under his wing that year since Shawn was biting Ric Flair style and inside and outside the ring.

Wcw 1998 tho >>>> ... don't make the OTTB walking encyclopedia do this.

Taker who didn't truly become interesting till '96.
Taker been poppin since 91 with his face turn. That turn is underrated. few people saw that coming. It was also the time where they gave Tito Santana that wack ass matador gimmick for no real reason.
He got that gimmick because he couldn't beat his former tag partner rick martel who was going around spraying his cologne in peoples face. But busines wise they were trying to put the ? him but decided bret was a better fit. It was a decent story line, that had some meaning. Even had promos and was well put together. Which is more than i can say about that tag team los matadors.
